YTO Express tracking number: what it looks like

YTO calls it the waybill number (运单号). With invented digits:

Lower case and spaces don't matter in Peek. YTO's own tracker takes up to 10 numbers at once, separated by commas, slashes or spaces.

Where to find it. The seller gives it with the order's shipping details, and it's printed on the waybill label on the parcel. If you can't find it, see how to find your tracking number.

Tracking on YTO's site. The tracker stays in Chinese even on YTO's English site: type the number in the box and press 查询 (search). YTO's privacy policy says a waybill stays searchable for three to six months, depending on where it was booked; after that, YTO deletes it from the system you search.

YTO Express tracking statuses explained

Each scan in YTO's tracking data has a short Chinese name, a time on China's clock (UTC+8) and the branch or station that made it. Peek shows these names in English:

If the address is a forwarder's warehouse, PDA正常签收扫描 means the warehouse signed for your parcel. From there, the forwarder's own number takes over.

YTO delivery in China: couriers, stations and pickup

A YTO courier brings the parcel (派件扫描), or it goes into a locker or a station (入柜|入库) for you to collect. YTO lists 95161 as its "Courier Outbound Hotline": the number its couriers call you from.

China's rules for express companies, in force since 1 March 2024, say:

• YTO has to tell you that you can check the parcel in person against the waybill. If the packaging is visibly damaged or the contents are fragile, you can look inside or refuse it.
• A company may not confirm receipt on your behalf, or put the parcel in a smart locker or an express service station, without your consent.

To have a parcel sent back or to a new address before delivery (退回/更址), YTO names its app and mini program among the ways to ask. Its privacy policy says to contact customer service to change the delivery address or phone number.

YTO International: parcels sent abroad

YTO International (圆通国际) dates back to 2006 and says it has over 50 offices in 18 countries and regions. Its tracker, "Express Freight Tracking" on ytoglobal.com/service, is in English and takes up to 10 numbers separated by commas or semicolons.

YTO's pages don't name the carrier that delivers in your country, only partnerships with "top-notch global logistics service providers". For International Standard Express, its service for individuals, YTO lists 7 to 12 working days from its international warehouse to the UK, Ireland and Canada, 9 to 12 to the United States and 8 to 13 to Australia, "for reference only".

If you're out, its FAQ says to follow the "Redelivery Notification" to arrange a free redelivery; if that fails too, YTO asks the sender what to do. To arrange a delivery time in advance, the FAQ says to call 400 60 95554. Customs may open the parcel, and duties depend on your country: see parcels held at customs.

YTO parcel not arriving, lost or returned

No lines yet. A new waybill shows nothing until YTO scans the parcel. If it stays empty, check the number with the seller. An old waybill can show nothing because YTO has deleted it (three to six months, above).

No update. YTO's service agreement with senders counts a parcel as lost if, after its first line, it gets no update for 4 days, or isn't signed for 7 days after it was due. Ask the seller, who booked the parcel and can ask YTO. More in why tracking stops updating and tracking parcels from China.

Lost or damaged. For a shop order, the seller paid for the shipment: ask the seller first. Under the same agreement, a lost parcel sent without declared value (保价) is compensated up to 300 yuan, or 100 yuan for documents; insured parcels get the actual loss, up to the declared value. Complaints go by phone to the YTO outlet that took the parcel or to YTO's customer service, and YTO's site has complaint (投诉反馈) and insured-claim (保价理赔) pages behind a login. If YTO's answer to a complaint doesn't satisfy you, or doesn't come in time, China's rules let you appeal to the postal regulator, the State Post Bureau (消费者申诉 on its site). See also lost parcels.

Returned. After 退回件扫描, the parcel is going back, and later delivery scans are the trip back to the sender. Ask the seller; see returned to sender.

Delivered but not there. YTO's service agreement lets someone living with you or a person you named sign for the parcel, or the courier put it in a smart locker or express station near the address. Check those, and your building's reception. See delivered but not received.

YTO Express contact number and customer service

As read on 24 October 2026, YTO lists these numbers:

• 95554: "Service Hotline" (服务热线), for YTO Express in China.
• 400 60 95554: YTO International's "Service Hotline", for shipments abroad.
• 95161: "Courier Outbound Hotline", the line YTO's couriers call from.
• 021-69777888: listed next to them, without a label.

YTO gives no hours or languages for them. Its site also has an online customer service button (在线客服), and YTO International a contact form. For the order itself, ask the seller.

Track a YTO Express parcel with Peek

Peek names YTO Express at once from YT and 13 digits. A D number with 11 digits fits Colis Privé too, so Peek can't tell which it is. Paste it all the same: Peek follows more than 3,500 carriers. If YTO Express doesn't come up, tap "Change" and pick it under "Fits this number", or use "Change carrier" on the parcel. Peek's YTO lookup takes YTO waybills in other shapes too: for those, pick YTO Express under "All carriers". A yto.net.cn link with mailNo= or waybillNo= and the number names YTO too.

Peek reads YTO's own tracking in China, not YTO International's. It shows the status, the scans YTO returns with the branch or station that made each, and the delivery time, with times on China's clock. Scans in the table above appear in Peek's English, others in YTO's Chinese, and repeated scans once. After 退回件扫描, Peek shows the trip back as "Out for delivery back to the sender" and "Returned to the sender".

YTO gives no expected delivery date. Peek leaves out couriers' names and phone numbers, the recipient's details and collection addresses: YTO's own tracker has those. YTO answers any number in a valid shape, so no scans yet doesn't prove a mistake: Peek keeps checking.

It checks every 10 minutes by day, every 2 minutes once the parcel is out for delivery, and hourly overnight, and can notify you with "All tracking updates", "Important only" or "Delivery day only". It can't contact YTO or the seller for you.

Questions about YTO Express tracking

Is YTO Express legit?

Yes. YTO Express was founded in Shanghai on 28 May 2000. It has two listed companies, YTO Express (stock code 600233) and YTO International (06123.HK), and says it had 550,000 employees at the end of 2024.

What does 签收 mean on YTO tracking?

Signed for: the courier handed the parcel over and recorded it (PDA正常签收扫描). It may have gone to you, someone who signed for you or a forwarder's warehouse. If nobody got it, see delivered but not received.

Why does my YTO number show no tracking?

YTO hasn't scanned the parcel yet, the number is wrong, or the waybill is older than YTO keeps it searchable: three to six months, its privacy policy says. Check the number with the seller, or paste it into Peek, which keeps checking.

Does YTO Express deliver outside China?

YTO International does, with its own tracker on ytoglobal.com. Its pages don't say which carrier delivers in your country, and it gives its delivery times "for reference only": 7 to 13 working days to the UK, Ireland, the US, Canada and Australia.

What is YTO Express's phone number?

95554 in China and 400 60 95554 for YTO International. YTO publishes no hours for them. Calls from 95161 come from YTO's couriers.
