Yanwen tracking: numbers, statuses and who to contact
Yanwen is a Chinese logistics company, founded in Beijing in 1998, that ships parcels abroad for online sellers and hands them to a local carrier for the last mile. Track the number on Yanwen's own site, track.yw56.com.cn, or in the box above. The number comes from the shop or marketplace you bought from, in the shipping details of your order.
Yanwen tracking number: what it looks like
Yanwen publishes no example number and no help page for recipients. The shapes Yanwen's parcels carry, with invented digits:
| Number | Whose it is |
|---|---|
BYS123456789 | BYS and 9 digits: Yanwen. |
UL123456785YP | Two letters, 9 digits, then YP: Yanwen. UL and UK are common starts. |
YWABC123456789012 | YW, three letters and 12 digits: Yanwen's own delivery service in the US. |
RR123456785CN | The same postal shape ending in CN: China Post, not Yanwen. |
YT1234567890123456 | Not Yanwen but YunExpress. |
LP12345678901234 | Not Yanwen but Cainiao, AliExpress's logistics reference. |
A Yanwen postal-style number always ends in YP; any other ending belongs to another post. Yanwen's result page shows two numbers: the "Tracking Number", which is Yanwen's, and the "Last Mile Tracking", which belongs to the carrier delivering in your country. If the shop gave you that local number, Yanwen's site answers it too. If you can't find any number, ask the shop for it.
Yanwen's site takes up to 100 numbers at once, but self-service tracking only covers waybills from the past year. It doesn't track China Post products.
Yanwen tracking statuses explained
Yanwen's tracking site comes in English and Chinese only, and the scan lines are English in both. The lines people see, in the order a parcel meets them:
| Yanwen says | What it means for you |
|---|---|
Order processed by shipper | The seller has booked the shipment. Yanwen doesn't have the parcel yet. |
Yanwen Pickup Scan | Yanwen has the parcel in China. |
Yanwen facility - Outbound | It has left Yanwen's sorting centre. |
International shipment release - Export | Export customs in China is done. |
Port of departure - Departure | Handed to the airline and flown out. |
Port of destination - Arrival | Arrived in or near your country. |
International shipment release - Import | Import customs has released it. |
Batch delivery to carrier | Handed to the local carrier. Its scans follow. |
Parcel is out for delivery. | On its way to you (Yanwen's own US service). |
<User not at home> | A delivery attempt failed, as relayed from the local carrier. |
Delivered. | Delivered, in the words of one local carrier. |
Order Submited., Waybill Generated and Shipping Order Created. mean the same as the first row: only the label exists, and the parcel may not have left the seller. Pick up by local carrier at destination port means the same as Batch delivery to carrier. After that, the lines are the local carrier's own, sometimes with a country prefix or a depot name in brackets: USPS's Out for Delivery or Delivered, In/At Mailbox, for example.
Above the scans, Yanwen files each parcel under a category. Info_Received is the label stage. In_Transportation covers everything from the flight to customs and the local leg. End_of_Tracking means Yanwen stopped following the parcel: it says nothing about where the parcel is, and is neither a delivery nor a loss. Not_Found, with the line No information was found, means Yanwen has nothing under that number. A delivered parcel's row shows the days it took, such as "Delivered(7d)".
Yanwen delivery, pickup and failed delivery
Yanwen doesn't deliver in Europe itself: it says it works "with local carriers to fulfill the last mile package delivery". When it names that carrier, the result page shows a notes box with "Distributor", "Distributor Website" and "Contact Number". For some parcels the box is empty.
Who delivers depends on the country and the shop's choice of service. Yanwen's product list names UK lines via Royal Mail, Yodel, Hermes and Evri, for example. In the US, parcels tracked on Yanwen's site have been delivered by USPS, UniUni or YanwenExpress, Yanwen's own US last-mile arm, and in Canada by Emile or UniUni.
Attempts, notice cards, rescheduling and how long a parcel waits are the local carrier's rules: Yanwen publishes none. Available_For_Pick_Up means the parcel is waiting at a pickup point; Undelivered means delivery failed. Use the "Last Mile Tracking" number and the contact in the notes box to ask that carrier about a new delivery.
The result page also has a "Proof of Delivery Images" window, unlocked with the recipient's ZIP code. Each scan shows its GMT offset, and a switch changes the time zone.
Yanwen package not updating, lost or returned
No tracking yet. While the parcel is at Info_Received, the seller has made a label but may not have handed it over. Ask the shop when it was sent.
Stuck for days. Once the parcel is with the local carrier, check the local carrier's own tracking with the "Last Mile Tracking" number. More in why tracking stops updating.
Delivered but not there. The local carrier made the delivery, so start there, then the shop. See delivered but not received.
Lost, damaged or returned. Yanwen publishes no claim process, deadline or compensation for recipients. Its sites are for sellers, and the shop or marketplace holds the contract with Yanwen, so ask it for a refund or a new parcel. Exception and Returned are Yanwen's categories for these cases.
Older parcels. Waybills drop out of self-service tracking after a year; Yanwen's announcement says a person on its hotline can still look them up.
Yanwen contact number and customer service
As read on 11 October 2026, Yanwen lists these channels:
- Hotline: 400-108-5656, Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 18:00, according to its Chinese contact page. A 400 number is a Chinese service number; Yanwen doesn't say whether it works from abroad or which languages are spoken.
- Email: [email protected], the only address on its English site. Yanwen doesn't call it a support address.
- Other channels: an online chat at the bottom right of yw56.com.cn, a customer portal and a WeChat account, all in Chinese and aimed at sellers.
- US last mile (YW numbers): YanwenExpress lists [email protected] and +1 (312) 478-0564 on its customer support page.
Yanwen publishes no contact for any European country. For the order, the shop or marketplace is quicker; for the delivery itself, use the carrier and number in the notes box.
Track a Yanwen parcel with Peek
Peek recognises BYS numbers, YP numbers and US YW numbers straight away. A YP number with a wrong check digit isn't recognised as Yanwen's: pick Yanwen with "Change". A link from track.yw56.com.cn with nums= is read as Yanwen whatever number it holds, so it works for the local number too.
It shows the status, the history with the town or region of each scan on a map, the delivery time, the destination country and the local carrier with its number ("Delivery with" that carrier). When Yanwen names a local carrier in Peek's list and the number fits it, Peek asks that carrier and switches to it once it shows newer progress. Yanwen gives no expected delivery date; Peek shows no pickup point and drops order references, contacts, postcodes, delivery PINs and door numbers.
Scan times keep Yanwen's GMT offsets, and repeated scans are removed. Delivered and Out for delivery appear in Peek's own words; other lines as written, including Delivered.. Peek checks every 10 minutes, every 2 minutes once the parcel is out for delivery, and can notify you of every scan, important steps only or "Delivery day only". It can't contact Yanwen or the shop for you.
Questions about Yanwen tracking
Where is my Yanwen package?
The latest scan gives its stage, and a town or region when the scan names one. After Batch delivery to carrier, a carrier in your country has it: look for its name and number on Yanwen's result page.
What does Yanwen facility - Outbound mean?
The parcel has left Yanwen's sorting centre in China. Next come Arrived at domestic terminal station, export customs and the flight out.
Is Yanwen legit?
Yes. Yanwen is a logistics company founded in Beijing in 1998 that runs its own tracking site. It says it became a recommended logistics provider for AliExpress and eBay in 2015.
How long does Yanwen take to deliver?
Yanwen publishes no delivery times for recipients, so go by the estimate the shop or marketplace shows for your order. For parcels from China in general, see tracking a parcel from China.
