Poczta Polska tracking: numbers, statuses and pickups
Poczta Polska is Poland's state-owned postal company, and Pocztex is its courier service. Track a parcel or registered letter on Poczta Polska's eMonitoring page, which has an English version, or paste the number in the box above. The number is the one on the sender's posting confirmation, so the shop that sent it has it, and Poczta Polska's own SMS and notices repeat it.
Poczta Polska tracking number and where to find it
Type it without spaces or brackets. Tracking covers every item posted with proof of posting, except declared-value letters; registered letters show only the posting and delivery dates.
| Shape (invented) | What it is |
|---|---|
PX1234567890 | PX and 10 digits. |
0015900773123456789 | 19 digits. |
00159007731234567899 | 20 digits, with 5900773 after the first three. |
RR123456785PL | The international postal format: two letters, nine digits, PL. |
Where it turns up:
- The sender's posting confirmation: ask the shop if your order email has no number.
- The pickup message for a Pocztex point or locker, with the number, the place, the deadline and a one-time code.
- The missed-delivery SMS, email or app message, with the number, the deadline and the post office's address.
If eMonitoring answers "The given package number is incorrect", check each character and which carrier the shop named. No number at all? See how to find your tracking number.
What Poczta Polska's tracking statuses mean
eMonitoring opens in Polish; the English version shows these wordings, with the date, the time and the post office for each step.
| Poczta Polska's status | What it means for you |
|---|---|
Electronic item data received | The sender has registered the item. Poczta Polska doesn't have it yet. |
Posting/collection | Posted at an office or collected from the sender. |
In transport | Moving between sorting centres. |
Departure from Poland | It has left Poland for another country. |
Arrival at inward office of exchange (Poland) | A parcel from abroad has reached Poland's exchange office. |
Customs service | Customs handling. |
In delivery | Out for delivery. |
Unsuccessful (physical) delivery | Nobody was in. A notice was left and the item goes to the post office. |
Ready for pick-up at the Post Office | Waiting for you at the office named in the scan. |
Collected at the post office | Picked up at the office. |
Final delivery | Delivered. |
Returned | Going back to the sender. |
Posting/collection is the sender's step, not yours. In delivery can also follow a failed attempt, so read the line above it. A Customs service line can appear after delivery: it books duty collected at the door. Without "(Poland)", Arrival at inward office of exchange means a parcel sent from Poland has reached its destination country. On the Polish page, a missed delivery reads Awizowana and a parcel waiting at an office Oczekuje na odbiór. Poczta Polska says event names may change.
Poczta Polska delivery failed: notices, pickup points and lockers
Pocztex courier parcels. The courier hands the parcel to you, an adult in your household or someone you authorised. If you're out, you're told by SMS, email or app when the sender gave your contact details, otherwise by a notice in the letterbox, with a second message two days later. The parcel waits at the post office 7 days from the day after the notice, then goes back to the sender. You can also phone the courier to have it left right by your address (not for cash-on-delivery, declared-value, recipient-paid or "do rąk własnych" parcels), at your own risk.
Pickup points and lockers. At a Pocztex point (PUNKT) chosen by the sender, the parcel waits 7 days at a post office or 3 days at a partner shop such as Żabka, ABC or Lewiatan. Lockers (AUTOMAT), at post offices, fuel stations and shops such as Biedronka, keep it 72 hours, with reminders after 24 and 48. Open one with your phone number and the code, or the Pocztex Mobile app. The deadline can't be extended and the parcel can't move to another point, but anyone with the code can pick it up.
Registered letters and postal parcels. A notice (awizo) goes in the letterbox, or arrives electronically if asked for. A second notice follows after 7 days, and the item goes back if not collected within 14 days of the first. For a fee, you can ask at the office or on poczta-polska.pl for up to 14 more days.
Poczta Polska parcel late, lost, damaged or at customs
Poczta Polska's tracking is information only, not a basis for a claim, and it publishes no advice for tracking that stops moving: ask the sender, and see tracking not updating.
Who complains. The sender, or you once the item was delivered or the sender passed the claim to you: online on poczta-polska.pl, on paper or in person at any post office.
Deadlines for domestic items, per Poczta Polska's terms:
- Within 12 months of posting.
- Visible damage: at delivery, in a report. You may check the contents of a damaged-looking parcel, except at points and lockers.
- Hidden damage or missing contents: within 7 days of receipt.
- Loss: a Pocztex parcel counts as lost 30 days after posting; a postal parcel's loss can be reported 14 days after posting, not counting public holidays and Sundays.
- Poczta Polska answers within 30 days; you can appeal within 14 days.
International items: within six months from the day after posting.
Customs. Since 1 July 2026, items from outside the EU worth up to €150 carry an EU duty of €3 per type of product, collected by Poczta Polska; gifts between private people up to €45 are exempt. VAT, if unpaid, and Poczta Polska's PLN 20 customs declaration fee (PLN 25 if you handle customs yourself) may be added, payable at delivery or before pickup. You may refuse the item. More in parcels held at customs.

Tracking Poczta Polska parcels with Peek
Peek recognises PX numbers at once. It asks Poczta Polska alone about 19-digit numbers, adding the check digit as Poczta Polska's site does, and asks Poczta Polska, Swiss Post Cargo and NZ Post about 20-digit ones with a valid check digit, preferring Poczta Polska. A valid international number ending in PL shows as "Unknown postal carrier" while Peek asks Poczta Polska and Chronopost; Poczta Polska wins when it knows it. eMonitoring links with numer= work too; no postcode is needed.
Peek shows the English wordings as written, each post office on a map, the weight, the destination country, the service (Pocztex, EMS) and the office holding a parcel for pickup. Delivery time comes only from a Polish office scan, and there is no expected delivery date. It drops office addresses, opening hours, payment documents and extra services. Scans relayed from abroad carry no time zone, so some may not appear. Pallets, grouped consignments and unregistered mail can't be tracked.
Peek checks every 10 minutes, every 2 once out for delivery, and can notify you when the status changes. A parcel posted abroad to Poland can be followed to Poczta Polska.
Questions about Poczta Polska tracking
What is Pocztex?
Pocztex is Poczta Polska's courier service, with its own site, pocztex.pl, and the Pocztex Mobile app. Its parcels use the same eMonitoring tracking.
Can I track Poczta Polska in English?
Yes. eMonitoring opens in Polish but has an English version.
How long does Pocztex take to deliver?
Poczta Polska guarantees Pocztex Kurier delivery by the fifth working day after posting, or the seventh for 2XL and non-standard parcels. Working days are Monday to Friday, except public holidays.
Can I redirect a Poczta Polska parcel?
Not as the recipient. Poczta Polska's terms leave changes of address or recipient to the sender, and parcels sent to a Pocztex point or locker can't be moved to another one.
