J&T Express Germany tracking number: what it looks like

J&T says its numbers usually start with JTDE and mix letters and digits. In practice that's JTDE followed by 12 digits:

Where to find it. J&T's FAQ lists the sender, the shop's order page, the order confirmation email, a shipping email or text message, an email before delivery or confirming it, and the label on the parcel. Numbers that look alike. J&T's networks in other countries have their own sites and numbers: JTAU and 12 digits is J&T Express Australia, JTE and 12 digits J&T in the Middle East, and JT with 13 digits is used by J&T in China, among others. J&T Express Germany tracking statuses explained

J&T's tracker opens in German; switch the site to English or Chinese and the scans reload in that language. Each scan is a time and one sentence, with no place. The English sentences, in the order a parcel meets them:

The loading line can appear several times: J&T writes it once for each delivery run. The delivered line goes on with the delivery type in 【】 brackets (Left with neighbor, Front Door Porch, Front Desk Reception, Garden Yard, Mailbox or Garage) and ends with J&T's hotline number. The brackets can also be empty.

Which neighbour? When a parcel was left with a neighbour, the tracker shows Click to view delivery details under that scan. Enter the postcode of the delivery address to see the neighbour's name and house number. After five wrong postcodes you have to wait before trying again.

J&T Express Germany delivery: neighbours, safe places and photos

Delivery preferences. J&T's delivery notification email carries a link to its delivery preferences page. Confirm the delivery postcode, then choose: signed for by you, left with a neighbour (you give their name and whether they live next door or on your floor), or left without a signature at the front door, at reception, in the garden, in the mailbox or in the garage. J&T says the driver follows your choice, and if the parcel is left at the place you chose, the risk of loss is yours. Once the parcel's status no longer allows a choice, the page says so.

Delivery photo. J&T's proof-of-delivery notice says the driver photographs the parcel when handing it over or leaving it at an agreed place, framing only the parcel and the spot; faces caught by accident are blurred. J&T keeps the photo for six months, longer while a complaint is open, and may share it with the sender to settle one.

Missed delivery. J&T publishes no number of delivery attempts, no storage period and no delivery hours, and its German site lists no parcel shops, lockers or depots where you could collect a parcel. When the driver can't find an address, tracking shows Delivery failed because the address could not be found, and Returns have begun can follow. More on missed deliveries.

Wrong address. J&T's FAQ sends you to the sender or the shopping platform, quickly: some parcels can't be redirected once shipped, depending on where they are and on the sender's rules.

J&T Express parcel late, missing or returned

The shop chose J&T, so for an online order the shop is your first contact. Under German law, when you buy as a consumer, the seller carries the risk of loss or damage in transit unless you hired the carrier yourself.

Not moving. J&T publishes no delivery times for recipients. If the last scan is days old, ask the shop, or call J&T with your number. More on tracking that isn't updating.
