Geniki Taxydromiki tracking: vouchers, statuses, contacts
Geniki Taxydromiki (Γενική Ταχυδρομική, sometimes called General Post) is a Greek courier with its own network in Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania. Track a parcel with its 10-digit voucher number on the Track & Trace page at taxydromiki.com, or paste it in the box above. The number comes from whoever booked the delivery, usually the shop you ordered from.
Geniki Taxydromiki tracking number: what it looks like
Geniki calls it the shipment number of the courier consignment note (ΣΥ.ΔΕ.ΤΑ., written SYDETA on its complaint form). Its tracker calls it the voucher. Geniki publishes no format, but the vouchers Peek reads are 10 digits.
| Shape (invented) | What it is |
|---|---|
1234567890 | A Geniki Taxydromiki voucher: 10 digits, no letters. |
RR123456785GR | Not Geniki: a postal number ending GR belongs to ELTA Hellenic Post. |
Geniki doesn't say where recipients get it: look in the shop's shipping email or order page, or ask the shop. See how to find your tracking number.
Ten digits are not unique to Geniki. ACS Courier vouchers look exactly the same, and DHL Express, Mondial Relay, Relais Colis, TIPSA and others use 10-digit numbers too. If the shop's email names another carrier, track it there. Geniki's tracker takes up to 10 vouchers at once, separated by commas.
Geniki Taxydromiki tracking statuses explained
Geniki's tracking page is in Greek on the Greek site and in English on the English, Bulgarian and Romanian ones. Here are the English wordings, in the order a parcel usually meets them.
| Geniki's status | What it means for you |
|---|---|
Shipment label created/printed | The sender made the voucher. Geniki doesn't have the parcel yet. |
Shipment Collected / PickedUp | A Geniki courier collected the parcel from the sender. |
Registration of shipment details | A service point registered the parcel it was handed. |
Departure from Service Point | It left the sending service point. |
Arrival at hub, Departure from hub | Sorting at a Geniki hub, on its way to your area. |
Arrival at Service Point | At the service point that delivers it, or sends it on. |
Routing to other service point | Sent on to another service point. |
Out for Delivery | With the courier who delivers it. |
Attempted Delivery - Delivery in 2-3 days | The courier couldn't deliver; another try follows. |
Attempted Delivery - Delivery Rescheduled | The courier couldn't deliver; the parcel waits as agreed with you. |
Shipment Delivered | Delivered. |
Registration of delivery details | The service point recorded the delivery: also means delivered. |
On the Greek page, Out for Delivery reads "Χρέωση σε κούριερ", literally charged to a courier. The rescheduled attempt is "Παραμονή με συνεννόηση" in Greek: the parcel stays put until you and Geniki agree when to deliver it.
A voucher Geniki doesn't find gives a notice in Greek only, even on the English page. For the general meaning of each step, see tracking status meanings.
Delivery, Geniki stores and missed deliveries
Who can take it. Geniki's Consumer Obligations Charter says the courier delivers to your address, to you or, if you're out, to another adult of the same household, or to the service point the sender chose.
If you're out. Geniki leaves a written notice, or notifies you electronically, and takes the parcel back to the branch that delivers it. It makes at least one more attempt, arranged with you or the sender. That's what the two Attempted Delivery statuses mean.
Changing the address. You can ask by phone or in writing, for example by email, to deliver to another address; extra charges may apply if it's in a different service area. You can also ask for delivery without a signature, confirmed with a PIN Geniki gives you.
Stores and lockers. With Door 2 Service Point (D2SP), the parcel goes to a Geniki store instead of your door; in Cyprus, to a Geniki office. That's chosen when the delivery is booked. In Greece, Geniki also delivers to BOX NOW lockers. A parcel sent to a locker stays there 48 hours after you're notified. Geniki's site has a store finder and a locker finder. Geniki doesn't publish how long a store keeps a parcel.
Never collected. A refused or undeliverable parcel goes back to the sender. Geniki keeps undeliverable items six months after the last failed attempt.
Geniki parcel not arrived, lost or damaged
No update. Geniki's FAQ points you to Track & Trace, or to the Geniki store in your area with your tracking number. A parcel stuck at Shipment label created/printed hasn't reached Geniki yet: ask the shop. See tracking not updating for how long to wait.
Damaged. Accept the parcel with a reservation noted on the consignment note, or send one by email or phone: the charter gives one business day after delivery, the General Terms two working days. Report it at once.
Lost or very late. For a lost, damaged or undelivered parcel, Geniki sends you to the branch responsible for it. Its charter counts a parcel more than 15 working days late as lost. Compensation goes to whoever signed the contract and paid, normally the sender, so for an online order ask the shop and let it claim. The charter and terms allow written claims within six months of acceptance, but Geniki's FAQ says 20 days from pickup, so don't wait.
Complaints. Geniki's Complaint Submission form takes your name, email, phone, the subject (loss, damage, delay, delivery problems and more), the SYDETA number and a message. Each online complaint gets a protocol number by email and an answer within 15 working days.

Tracking a Geniki Taxydromiki parcel with Peek
Peek can't tell a Geniki voucher from its 10 digits, and it never asks Geniki on its own: it asks DHL Express (when the last digit passes DHL's check), Relais Colis, TIPSA and DHL eCommerce Iberia instead. Pick "Geniki Taxydromiki" with "Change", or paste a taxydromiki.com tracking link (/track/1234567890 or /en/track/1234567890), which names Geniki at once. A link holding several vouchers joined by - isn't tracked: paste each voucher alone.
Geniki's tracker gives times without a time zone. So Peek doesn't show Geniki's own history: it takes the dated history from universal tracking services and asks Geniki again every 6 hours. If no service answers, you see Geniki's current status, dated when Peek saw it. Geniki's own status appears in its English wording, as in the table. The two Attempted Delivery steps show as written, without a stage of their own. A scan Geniki cancelled is hidden together with its cancellation.
Geniki gives no expected delivery day, no pickup point and no weight, so Peek can't show them. Vouchers from earlier years read as not found. Peek can notify you of every scan, important steps only, or on delivery day only.
