Aramex Australia tracking: numbers, statuses, contacts
Aramex Australia, formerly Fastway Couriers, is a franchise courier network that delivers parcels for Australian shops. Track a parcel with its label number on aramex.com.au or by pasting it in the box above. The number comes from the shop that sent it: look in its shipping email or on your order page.
Aramex Australia tracking number: format and where to find it
Aramex calls it the tracking number or label number. The sender creates the label, so the shop gives you the number, usually in its shipping email or on the order page. If you missed a delivery, it's also on the calling card the courier left. Aramex says you can't track a parcel without it: if you don't know it, or don't even know which carrier the shop used, ask the shop. Still stuck? See how to find a tracking number.
Aramex doesn't publish a format. The labels seen in its tracking are 12 characters: two characters, then 10 digits.
| Shape (invented) | What it is |
|---|---|
AB1234567890 | Two letters, then 10 digits. |
2X1234567890 | A digit, a letter, then 10 digits. |
A91234567890 | A letter, a digit, then 10 digits. |
Aramex never reuses a number.
Lookalikes: Aramex New Zealand uses exactly the same shape but is a separate network, and Colis Privé in France has 12-character numbers too. A number like RR123456785AU (two letters, nine digits, AU) is a postal item, not an Aramex label: track it with Australia Post. Aramex's international service on aramex.com uses 11-digit waybills and is a different tracker.
What Aramex tracking statuses mean
Aramex Australia's site is in English only. Each scan has a short heading and a longer explanation underneath. These are the wordings most parcels meet, in order.
| Aramex's status | What it means for you |
|---|---|
Tracking number allocated | The shop made the label; Aramex doesn't have the parcel yet. |
Sender preparing parcel for pick-up | The shop is finishing its part before the courier collects it. |
Picked up from sender | An Aramex courier has collected the parcel. |
In transit | It has left a depot for the next one; the place shown is the depot it left. |
Your parcel is in our care | It has arrived at an Aramex depot. |
Onboard for delivery | It's with your local courier and should arrive within 24 hours. |
Delivery delayed | The delivery is running late. |
Calling card left | Nobody could take it; a card says where it waits. |
Ready for collection | It's waiting at a local collection point. |
Delivered | Delivered as per the delivery instructions. |
Authority to Leave | Left in a safe place at your address without a signature. |
Return to sender | Aramex couldn't deliver it and is sending it back. |
Delivery delayed as the last scan makes the tracking page show Out of time today: the courier ran out of time on the round. A pop-up headed Your delivery has been delayed says "Your parcel is delayed, up to 48 hours."
Authority to Leave is also a delivery service the sender can choose.
Older parcels may show earlier wordings such as Consignment Information Submitted or Received into Depot.
Aramex delivery, safe places and missed deliveries
Aramex delivers during business hours, Monday to Friday, not on weekends or public holidays. Delivery times are estimates, and Aramex can't promise a specific time. The tracking page shows the estimated day.
The shop picks the delivery service: Authority to Leave (safe place), Signature, Standard (a signature if someone is in, else a safe place), Secure PIN (a PIN sent by email or SMS) or Click & Collect to a collection point.
Missed delivery. If the parcel can't be left, it goes to the nearest collection point or back to your local depot, and the courier leaves a calling card saying where. For Signature and Standard parcels Aramex also sends an email or SMS. Bring photo ID showing the delivery address, the label number and the notification. Someone else can collect with the same proof.
Changing it. From the card or the tracking page you can ask for a redelivery to the same address (Aramex says charges may apply) or, Aramex's FAQ says, a redirect to a new address in the same region for $5.50. You can also pick it up from the depot: contact the depot first so it's ready. If neither redelivery nor pickup happens within 7 days, Aramex's terms let it return the parcel to the sender.
Aramex tracking not working, delayed or lost parcels
No results. Check the number. Aramex says scans can take up to 48 hours to appear.
No movement. Aramex says a parcel can look stuck because of service delays, and lists affected suburbs on its Network Service Updates page. See tracking that isn't updating.
Not arrived. Track it first, then choose Submit online enquiry on the tracking result.
Delivered but not there. Aramex suggests asking neighbours or your building manager. A photo or signature proof is visible only through an aramexConnect account with the email the sender put on the label. See delivered but not received.
Damaged. Tell the shop as soon as possible and lodge an enquiry with Aramex within 24 hours.
The shop holds the invoices a claim needs, so in practice the shop claims. Aramex's terms set the deadlines: damage photos within 24 hours of delivery and a written claim within 7 business days; loss claims within 30 business days of pickup. Cover is up to $1,500 per consignment, and with Authority to Leave a photo and GPS proof of delivery waives a loss claim. These limits don't reduce your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Returned. A wrong address, failed attempts or a requested return can send it back. Ask the shop.

Tracking Aramex Australia parcels with Peek
Peek reads Aramex Australia's own tracking. The 12-character shape is shared with Aramex New Zealand and Colis Privé, so it asks them at once, Aramex Australia first for a reader in Australia, and names the one that has the parcel; if both Aramex networks know it, you choose with "Change". A label starting with a letter then a digit isn't offered as Aramex: paste its aramex.com.au tracking link or pick Aramex with "Change". Old fastway.com.au links work too. Peek doesn't offer Aramex for the sender's long SSCC barcode number.
It can show the status, the expected day and the service, Priority Delivery or Economy Delivery. Delivered and In transit appear in Peek's own words; the others as Aramex writes them. It drops the collection point and its address, opening hours, pickup code, signatory, photo or signature proof, delivery instructions and references.
Aramex's scan times carry no time zone, so Peek takes the dated history from tracking services instead, shows it on a map and asks Aramex again every 6 hours. If no service answers, it shows Aramex's current status, dated when it was seen. It can notify you when the status changes.
