Econt tracking: shipment number, statuses and offices
Econt Express is a Bulgarian courier, founded in 1993, that delivers to your door, to its offices and to Econtomat parcel lockers. Track a parcel with "Track a shipment" on econt.com, with the link in Econt's email or SMS, or by pasting the shipment number in the box above. The number comes from Econt's notification or the shop's shipping email.
Econt tracking number: where to find it
Econt calls it the shipment number or waybill number. Econt's emails and SMS carry a link that opens the tracking; SMS is an option the sender pays for, so not every parcel gets one. No message? Ask the shop, or see where else to find a tracking number.
Econt publishes no format, but its tracker takes digits only and its manual's example has 13, like the invented 1234567890123. On a computer you can enter up to 30 numbers at once; on a phone, one.
If Econt answers "A shipment with this number could not be found", check the digits and try again.
Thirteen digits also fit other carriers, among them La Poste's Colissimo, DPD France and Romania's FAN Courier, so check which carrier the shop's email or the SMS names.
What Econt's tracking statuses mean
econt.com opens in Bulgarian, with a switch to English. The English site shows each scan's label in English and its place in Latin script, plus a summary status at the top. These are its English labels (Econt prints them in lower case), in the order a parcel meets them.
| Econt's status | What it means for you |
|---|---|
Awaiting delivery to Econt | The sender has made the label but not handed the parcel over yet. |
Submitted to courier | First in the list: a courier has collected it from the sender. Later on: it's out for delivery. |
Arrival at an office | It reached the Econt office or logistics centre named beside it, possibly your pickup office. |
Received by line-haul | It's on a trunk route between centres; the place shows the route, town to town. |
Change delivery terms | Someone changed the delivery, for example the office. The parcel hasn't moved. |
Shipment forwarding | It's being sent on to another place. |
Failed delivery | The courier couldn't deliver and took it back to an office. |
Delivered | Delivered to you, or picked up. |
Delivery return | It's going back to the sender. |
Return receipt: Delivered | The signed return receipt reached the sender; it says nothing new about your parcel. |
Submitted to courier is the confusing one: the same words mean a pickup at the start and the last mile at the end, so read what came before it. Failed delivery gives a reason, such as Absent receiver. A Change delivery terms line names what changed, for example change of office for delivery.
On the Bulgarian site the summary reads В офис when the parcel waits at an office (ready for pickup once Econt names the office storing it) and Доставена when delivered. Information is a note without a step.
Econt delivery, offices and Econtomats
At the door, the courier makes one attempt a day. A second attempt the same day happens only if you ask, for an extra fee. If you're out, it may go to someone at the address, such as a household member or doorman. The sender can choose a time slot, and Saturday delivery runs up to 3pm in cities with an Econt office or local partner.
At an office, you can pick a parcel up from the next business day with an identity document. Someone else can collect it if you authorise them in writing, by instruction or by giving them your PIN code for receiving the shipment; they show their own ID. Econt charges a storage fee per day once a parcel stays past the seventh business day, and changing the office resets the count.
At an Econtomat, open 24/7: choose "Receive a shipment", scan the QR code or enter the two PIN codes, pay by card in the Econt app if anything is due, and take the parcel from the open box. Econtomats take parcels up to 61 x 44 x 37 cm and 30.5 kg.
Changing the delivery. Econt says you can change the recipient, place and time of delivery at any time: by phone, through the email notification or in your e-Econt profile. Options include another office, address, town or day, or leaving it with a neighbour. Some changes cost extra.
Cash on delivery. You pay before you get the parcel, unless the sender allowed "Review" options that let you look first.
Econt parcel late, lost or damaged
Econt's terms give one business day to places with an Econt office, up to three to places without one, and one to two between Econtomats; a parcel collected on Saturday arrives on Monday. Those times don't bind Econt if the sender gave a wrong or incomplete address or phone number. No movement for days? See tracking that isn't updating, then ask Econt or the shop.
Damaged or missing contents. You may check the parcel after hand-over; the inspection is recorded in a report at that moment.
Claims. The sender can claim; you can too once you've opened the parcel, and before receipt only with the sender's consent. The deadline is 6 months from the day Econt accepted the shipment. Claim at an office, with the courier, by phone, in e-Econt or with the online "File a claim" form (with the waybill number), and pay anything owed to Econt first. Econt answers within 14 business days. Without a declared value, compensation is the actual damage, capped at ten times the courier price.
Returned or refused parcels go back to the sender at the sender's cost. If the sender refuses them within 7 days of notice, they become Econt's property and may be auctioned or destroyed (Shipment destruction in the tracking).

Tracking an Econt parcel with Peek
Peek can't tell an Econt parcel from its 13 digits: it offers them to La Poste, DPD France and others, never Econt. If none knows it, you'll see "not found yet · Peek keeps checking": pick "Econt" with "Change". Or paste an econt.com link with /services/track-shipment/ or /tracking/ and the number, which names Econt straight away.
It then shows Econt's summary status, the history with the office of each office scan on a map, and the delivery time. While the parcel waits, it shows the name of the Econt office storing it; Econt lists its Econtomats as offices, so a locker can appear by name too. Econt gives no expected delivery day or weight. The parcel count, courier's and recipient's names, sender and order references are left out.
Scans keep the English labels above, except Delivered, shown in Peek's own words; Return receipt: … lines change nothing. Times are read as Sofia time, so a scan in the hour the clocks repeat in late October doesn't appear. It checks every 10 minutes, every 2 minutes once the parcel is out for delivery, and can notify you of every scan, important steps or on delivery day only.
