"Intelcom / Dragonfly tracking: numbers, statuses, contact"

7 min read

Peek is an independent tracker, not Intelcom / Dragonfly. It shows what Intelcom / Dragonfly’s own tracking publishes.

Intelcom is a Montreal last-mile courier that delivers online orders across Canada for shops such as Amazon, Walmart and Canadian Tire. Outside Quebec it now trades as Dragonfly (Dragonfly Shipping), so the same parcel may say either name. Track it on dragonflyshipping.ca or intelcom.ca with the number from the shop's shipping email or order page, or paste that number in the box above.

Intelcom tracking number: where it is and what it looks like

You get the number from the shop, not from Intelcom: Dragonfly says it's on the merchant's website where you ordered and in the email confirming your order has shipped. Intelcom's text messages come only from the short code 87225.

Dragonfly's own rule is simple: a number starts with letters and ends with digits. The letters vary by shop, so these shapes (invented here) are only the common ones:

Shape (invented)What it is
INTLCM1234567890INTLCM and 10 digits, Intelcom's own prefix.
INTLCMA123456789INTLCM, a letter and 9 digits.
CRIN12345678901234CRIN and 14 digits, seen on some parcels.
ABCD00000000123456789Letters then digits: a shop's own reference, also accepted.

Number not working on the tracking page? Dragonfly gives three reasons: the shop hasn't told it about the parcel yet, the number isn't letters followed by digits, or it's more than three months old. If it still fails, ask the shop. Peek takes a CRIN number with 13 digits instead of 14 for Colis Privé, not Intelcom. For other formats, see which carrier a number belongs to.

Returns get a separate Dragonfly return tracking number. Keep it handy: the driver may ask for it.

What Intelcom tracking statuses mean

Intelcom words its statuses like little cheers. Most say "Dragonfly"; some say "Intelcom" instead (Intelcom has your package!). The French page of the site shows them in French.

Intelcom's statusWhat it means for you
Your package will be in good hands with Dragonfly! The shop has made the label; the parcel is still with the shop.
Dragonfly has your package! The shop has handed it to Dragonfly.
Your package is on the move! It's travelling between Dragonfly stations.
Your package is being prepared for delivery!Your local station is getting it ready for delivery.
On our way to you!Out for delivery, due by 10 p.m.
Delivery postponedNot delivered today; Dragonfly tries again the next business day.
Hooray! Your package is hereDelivered, handed to you or left outside.
Uh-oh! We're unable to locate your packageLost in transit: contact the shop.
Pickup requested by merchant.A return: the shop has booked a pickup from you.
We're on our way!The return is due to be picked up today.
We got it!The driver has picked up your return.
Mission accomplished! The return is on its way back to the shop.

The first status worries people most: "in good hands" means only that the shop has told Dragonfly about the parcel, which hasn't been handed over yet. If it stays there for days, the shop hasn't shipped; ask the shop. Mission accomplished! isn't a delivery: it ends a return.

Intelcom delivery times, safe places and missed deliveries

Dragonfly delivers from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week. Email subscribers get a message when the parcel is due within the next three hours, an estimate based on the driver's schedule.

Depending on your agreement with the shop, the driver may leave the parcel in a place they judge safe. If there's none, it goes back to the warehouse and comes out again the next business day. Delivery postponed covers the same thing and more: a door the driver couldn't reach, a route not finished, a parcel the driver couldn't find. Dragonfly says you needn't contact it; it tries again the next business day.

The link in Dragonfly's tracking emails opens a form for delivery instructions, such as a door code or where to leave the parcel, which you can edit until delivery. Changing the date, or the address within the area Dragonfly serves, is done by phone; a new address may delay the parcel. Choosing a delivery time isn't offered, and Dragonfly says pickups at its stations aren't available.

If you chose counter delivery at checkout, the parcel goes to a store and an email gives you its address and a barcode. You have 5 days to collect it; after that it goes back to the shop and you're refunded under the shop's policy.

For returns, there's no box or label to print: hand the item to the driver. Requests made before 6 p.m. are picked up the next day, later ones two days later, between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Intelcom package delayed, stolen or not delivered

Delays from weather or road conditions need nothing from you, says Dragonfly: once the parcel is back on the road you get an email with the new date. Its support page lists current delays on the network. If tracking hasn't moved for days, see tracking that isn't updating.

Marked delivered but not there? Look at the delivery photo in the email, then behind objects in it, around the property and in the mailroom: Dragonfly says drivers may hide parcels to prevent theft. Still nothing, or left at an address you can't reach? Call Dragonfly right away. Its only proof of delivery for you is that email; the shop gets the full record and photos. More in delivered but not received.

Damaged or missing items, and parcels shown as lost, go to the shop: Dragonfly doesn't know what's inside or its value and asks you to file a claim with the merchant. Its pages give no claim deadline.

Tracking Intelcom parcels with Peek

Peek names Intelcom at once for INTLCM numbers like those above, and for any intelcom.ca or dragonflyshipping.ca link with tracking-id= in it, whatever the number inside. A CRIN number is named only if a tracking service names Intelcom; otherwise pick Intelcom with "Change". Shop references aren't recognised from the number, but once you pick Intelcom with "Change" Peek sends them as they are.

Peek reads Dragonfly's tracking directly and shows the status in its English words, as written, even for Quebec parcels. Each step has its exact time; Dragonfly gives no place for it. Peek shows the expected delivery, a time window once the parcel is with the driver and a day before that, and for big shops such as Amazon, Walmart or Canadian Tire the sender's name. It drops the driver's name, your details and the proof of delivery, and shows no pickup point or weight. It can't change the delivery or show the photo.

Peek checks every 10 minutes, every 2 minutes once the parcel is out for delivery, and can notify you when the status changes.
