Roadie tracking: 1R numbers, statuses and delivery photos
Roadie, a UPS company, runs same-day and local deliveries across the United States with a network of independent drivers. Roadie emails you when the delivery is booked, then sends an email, a text or both with a tracking link once a driver has picked it up. Paste the number or that link in the box above, or open it on Roadie's tracker at track.roadie.com.
Roadie tracking number: what it looks like and where to find it
Look in Roadie's emails and texts: the tracking link carries the number. Many shops also give their own tracking number, and Roadie says a number in another format won't work on track.roadie.com: ask the shop for that tracking instead. More in how to find a tracking number.
Roadie's numbers start with 1R. With invented digits:
| Number (invented) | What it is |
|---|---|
1R00000000000000 | 16 characters: 1R, then 14 digits or the letters a to f. Roadie's help center calls it a mix of numbers and lowercase letters (1r…). |
1R00000000000000000000000000 | 28 characters: 1R, then 26 letters or digits. Roadie's tracker takes this length too. |
1R00-0000-0000-0000 | The 16-character number split into groups of four, as Roadie's tracker lays it out. |
Roadie's tracker accepts 16 or 28 characters only, and answers "Delivery not found. Please confirm that your tracking number is correct." for a number it doesn't know. Spaces, dashes and case don't matter in Peek.
Roadie belongs to UPS, but its numbers aren't UPS numbers: a UPS number starts with 1Z, a Roadie number with 1R.
Roadie tracking statuses explained
Roadie's tracker lists the steps newest first, each with its time, and an estimated delivery time while the delivery is under way:
| Roadie's step | What it means for you |
|---|---|
Delivery Created | The shop has booked the delivery with Roadie. No driver has it yet. |
Pickup Confirmed | A driver has picked the delivery up and is on the way. This is when Roadie sends you the tracking link. |
Delivered | The driver has delivered it. The tracker can show the delivery photo (see below). |
Delivery Attempted | The driver tried but couldn't complete the delivery. The tracker can give the reason, such as no way into the address, nobody there to sign, nobody to receive it, or nowhere safe to leave it. |
Transferred to Carrier | Roadie has handed the delivery to another carrier. The tracker then shows that carrier's tracking number, and a link to UPS's tracking when UPS has it. |
Delayed | The delivery is late. Roadie's tracker says it will share a new delivery date soon. |
Canceled | The delivery won't go ahead. The tracker can say why: the order was canceled, the item was out of stock or already delivered, or the order was lost. Contact the shop. |
The ZIP code lock. Roadie's tracker hides the delivery address, the delivery photo and the next carrier's tracking number until you type the delivery ZIP code under "Unlock Delivery Details". After a delivery, the photo stays there for 14 days.
How Roadie delivers: drivers, photos and signatures
Who brings it. An independent driver in Roadie's network, which Roadie puts at more than 310,000 drivers, reaching 97% of US households in all 50 states.
How fast. Roadie Same Day deliveries arrive in 2 to 12 hours, up to 100 miles from pickup. RoadieXD, for businesses shipping in bulk from fulfillment centers, takes 6 to 24 hours. Roadie delivers on the day it picks up, so a local next-day order can be picked up as late as the morning of the delivery day. The shop chooses the window: 2-hour, 4-hour or end of day.
Photo proof. Every delivery gets a photo showing the item's condition and the front door or delivery spot, so it proves the right house or building. Drivers must never put you in the picture.
Signatures. You don't have to be home unless the shop asked for a signature. If it did, you or anyone at the address can sign, and the app records the signer's name. For prescriptions, the person handed the delivery must sign, and some, such as CVS prescription deliveries, may need someone there.
Where it's left. Without a signature, the driver leaves it in a safe place at the address: out of sight from the street, under cover, at a spot you'd check, such as the front door, a side door or a package area. With no safe spot, the driver tries to hand it to you, or to the front desk or leasing office. Drivers may not use your mailbox, which is for US Mail only, and don't come inside: Roadie says they aren't movers and don't cross the threshold.
Who uses Roadie. Roadie's own site names The Home Depot, Tractor Supply, Walmart, BJ's Wholesale Club, Fanatics and Benjamin Moore among the businesses it delivers for, and it delivers delayed bags for airlines such as Delta.
Change a Roadie delivery
What you can change depends on whether a driver has picked it up:
- Before pickup: for a new address, contact Roadie Support. For a later time, contact the shop to reschedule.
- After pickup: Roadie can't change the address, delay the delivery or change the time. Ask the shop for help.
- Signature: if you asked for one and changed your mind, contact Roadie Support.
If a signature was needed and nobody was there, the delivery goes back to the shop, and you rebook it with them. More in missed deliveries.
Roadie delivery late, missing or marked delivered
Delayed or not moving. If the tracker shows Delayed, Roadie says it will share a new date soon; if no update comes, contact the shop. More in tracking that isn't updating.
Marked delivered, but not there. Open Roadie's tracker, type your ZIP code and look at the delivery photo, there for 14 days: it shows where the driver left it. Check side doors, porches, the garage area and your building's front desk or leasing office. Then contact the shop. Roadie says that, unless it agrees otherwise, recipients get a refund or a replacement from the shop, not from Roadie. For a suspected theft, Roadie asks for a police report; many police departments want the sender to file it. More in delivered but not received and lost parcels.
Damaged. Tell the shop right away: only the sender can file a claim with Roadie, usually within three business days of delivery. Keep the item and all its packaging as they are until the claim is settled. If the claim is valid, Roadie emails you to go on with it. If the driver damaged your own property, Roadie asks you to tell the sender within three business days of delivery too. See damaged parcels.
Roadie customer service and contact
As read on Roadie's support site on 30 October 2026:
- Chat: click the robot icon in the bottom right corner of the Roadie Support Center to reach a support specialist.
- Email: write through Roadie's contact form, which the "Contact Support" link on Roadie's tracker opens. It asks for your name, email and phone, and offers "Track My Delivery" under "How can we help?".
- Roadie says its support team helps recipients, senders and drivers through chat and email.
Have the tracking number ready. For a refund, a replacement or a new delivery date, go to the shop: it booked the delivery.
Track a Roadie delivery with Peek
Peek names Roadie at once from a number of either shape: 1R and 14 digits or letters a to f, or 1R and 26 letters or digits. Links from track.roadie.com work too: /id/…, /track/… and /track?tracking_number=…, also with a partner's name in front.
Peek doesn't read Roadie's own tracker. It asks tracking services instead, ParcelsApp, Ship24 and 17TRACK in turn, and shows the status and history of the first one that has the delivery, in that service's words, which may not match the steps on Roadie's tracker. That history can lag behind Roadie's, and for some deliveries there's none. Until a service knows the number, Peek shows "Waiting for the carrier"; a service that didn't know it is asked again a day later.
So Peek doesn't show the delivery photo, the driver or anything else behind Roadie's ZIP code lock. Until a service has the delivery, "Open the Roadie website" on the parcel's page opens Roadie's tracker for your number. Once one has it, that link goes to the service's page instead, such as "Open the ParcelsApp website": for the photo, open track.roadie.com yourself.
If a tracking service names the carrier Roadie handed the delivery to, with its number, and Peek reads that carrier's own tracking, as it does UPS's, Peek asks that carrier too. Once it shows a scan at least as recent as the service's latest, Peek follows the delivery there. You can also add that number yourself: Peek names UPS at once for a 1Z number whose check digit is right.
While a service has the delivery, Peek checks it every 15 minutes from 8 am to 10 pm Swiss time (about 2 am to 4 pm Eastern), out for delivery too, and every hour or two the rest of the time. So for a delivery due that evening, Roadie's tracker is quicker. Peek can notify you of "Every scan", "Important steps" or "Delivery only". It can't contact Roadie or the shop for you.
Questions about Roadie tracking
Is Roadie part of UPS?
Yes. Roadie calls itself a wholly owned subsidiary of UPS, and its tracker introduces it as "Roadie, a UPS company". Its tracking numbers start with 1R, not UPS's 1Z.
Why is my Roadie tracking number not working?
Roadie numbers have 16 or 28 characters and start with 1R; Roadie's tracker takes no other length. A shop's own tracking number in another format doesn't work there, Roadie says: ask the shop for its tracking.
Do I need to be home for a Roadie delivery?
No, unless the shop asked for a signature. Without one, the driver leaves it in a safe place at the address and takes a photo. With one, you or anyone at the address signs; if nobody's there, it goes back to the shop.
Does Roadie deliver at night and on weekends?
It can. Roadie says businesses can deliver with it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including after hours and holidays. When yours comes depends on the window the shop chose; Roadie's tracker shows the estimated delivery time.
Who do I contact if my Roadie delivery is missing?
The shop you ordered from: Roadie says recipients get refunds and replacements from the sender. For the delivery itself, Roadie Support answers by chat and email.
