DPD Poland tracking: statuses, pickup points and contact

6 min read

Peek is an independent tracker, not DPD Poland. It shows what DPD Poland’s own tracking publishes.

DPD Poland (DPD Polska) is a Warsaw-based parcel carrier in the Geopost group, owned by France's La Poste. Track a parcel on DPD's Track & Trace page with its 14-character parcel number, or paste it in the box above. The shop usually gives the number in its shipping email or on your order page.

Where to find your DPD tracking number in Poland

DPD says its parcel numbers have 14 characters: in practice 13 digits and a letter, or 14 digits. The DPD Mobile app lists parcels linked to the phone number or email address you signed up with, no number needed. Still nothing? See how to find your tracking number.

Number (invented)What it is
1234567890123A13 digits and a letter: a DPD Poland parcel number.
1300000000000014 digits starting 13: also DPD Poland's.
123456789A 9-character sending code, used by senders: not a tracking number.

Fourteen digits also fit DPD Germany, DPD Switzerland, DPD UK, SEUR, BRT and others, so check which carrier the shop's email names. If DPD replies There is no trace for this parcel, the number is wrong or not in DPD's system yet: DPD asks you to try again the morning after posting.

What DPD Poland's tracking statuses mean

DPD's tracking site opens in Polish; switch to "English" for these wordings. In the order a parcel usually meets them:

DPD saysWhat it means for you
Registered parcel data, parcel not dispatched yetLabel created: DPD doesn't have the parcel yet.
Parcel collected by courierA courier picked it up from the sender (later on, a hand-over in transit).
Parcel received by DPD depotScanned at a DPD depot.
Sent outside PolandLeaving for another DPD country, which delivers it.
Parcel dispatched to be deliveredOut for delivery with the courier.
Parcel not delivered - recipient not availableThe courier missed you.
Parcel dispatched to be collected by pickup pointOn its way to the pickup point that will hold it.
Parcel collected by pickup pointReady for you to pick up at the point.
The Parcel has been placed in the DPD Pickup StationReady to pick up from a DPD Pickup locker.
Waiting for pickup timeoutNobody picked it up in time; it goes back to the sender.
Parcel returnGoing back to the sender under a new number.
Parcel deliveredDelivered.

"Collected" means the courier or the pickup point took the parcel, not you, so Parcel collected by pickup point is good news. Parcel not delivered - recipient resigned means the parcel was refused; it then goes back to the sender at the sender's cost. Mail notification and SMS notification are messages DPD sent you, not movements.

DPD delivery in Poland: Predict, pickup points and lockers

Notices. DPD tells you the delivery time by email or SMS (DPD Predict) and announces the first attempt the same way. On the delivery day you can see the courier on a map; the courier's phone number appears in DPD Mobile once the parcel is out for delivery.

Changes. Once the courier has the parcel, DPD Mobile or Moja Paczka (mojapaczka.dpd.com.pl, with the parcel number and a PIN) let you move the date by up to three working days, change the address, choose a neighbour or safe place, send it to a DPD Pickup point or locker, or refuse it. Parcels from some senders, Temu, AliExpress and Shein among them, can't be redirected, except to a Pickup point on the courier's route.

Pickup points and lockers. DPD counts over 35,000 Pickup points and lockers, including Żabka, Lidl and Auchan shops. A parcel waits two full working days; the exact deadline is in DPD's notification and in DPD Mobile. It can't be extended: then the parcel goes back to the sender. Pick it up with DPD Mobile or the collection code from DPD's email, typed on the locker's keypad. Someone else can use your code if no documents need signing. If your point is full, DPD sends the parcel to a nearby one and tells you.

Saturday delivery happens only when the sender booked it. Allegro Delivery parcels show only in Allegro's tools, not in DPD Mobile.

DPD parcel not delivered, lost or damaged

The sender, usually the shop, holds the contract and files claims by default; you can claim yourself in the cases DPD's terms list, for example as a consumer entitled to the parcel. DPD also suggests contacting the sender to agree the next steps.

No update for days. DPD counts a parcel as lost when it hasn't arrived within 30 days of the service deadline. Until then, see tracking that isn't updating and ask the shop.

Delivered but not there. Contact the shop, then see delivered but not received.

Damaged. For visible damage, write a damage report with the courier or on DPD's online damage report the day it arrives, with photos. The report alone doesn't start a claim: file one through the form under "Moje DPD" on dpd.com.pl. Hidden damage must be reported to DPD within 7 days of accepting the parcel.

DPD decides within 30 calendar days of a complete claim. For postal services, a consumer can take a dispute to the President of UKE, Poland's communications regulator.

Tracking a DPD Poland parcel with Peek

Peek names DPD Poland at once for 13 digits and a letter. For 14 digits starting 13, Peek asks the likely carriers, DPD Poland first, and shows "DPD Poland has this parcel." when DPD knows the number. For other 14-digit numbers, pick DPD Poland with "Change". A tracktrace.dpd.com.pl or tt.dpd.com.pl link with p1= works too; sending codes, reference and order numbers don't.

Peek reads DPD's English tracking and shows the status, the history and the delivery time, in DPD's wording. DPD gives no place for its scans, no expected delivery, sender or weight, and Peek drops your name and the pickup point's address. Scans at Polish depots and points show in Warsaw time; the registration and scans abroad don't appear. Peek checks every 10 minutes (every 2 once out for delivery) and can notify you of every scan, important steps or delivery day only. It doesn't follow the parcel after Sent outside Poland or keep a return's new number.
