MHI tracking: Trackmail statuses and who delivers
MHI (Mail Handling International) is a Bristol company that ships online shops' orders from the UK to buyers abroad. Shops send their parcels to its processing facility in Bristol; MHI exports them and hands each one to a courier or post in your country, which delivers it under its own number. Track the MHI number on MHI's tracking site, Trackmail, or in the box above. The number comes from the shop: MHI gives its clients a tracking code for each parcel, so look in the shipping email or your order details.
MHI tracking number: what it looks like
MHI publishes no format for shoppers. The shapes its numbers take, with invented digits:
| Number | What it is |
|---|---|
MHI000W000000000000 | MHI, three digits, then W and 12 digits: MHI. |
MHI000WBB000000000 | MHI, three digits, then WBB and 9 digits: MHI. |
MHI-000-P000000000 | MHI, three digits, then P and 9 digits: MHI. Labels print this one with dashes. |
MHI000000000000000 | MHI, three digits, then 12 more digits: MHI. |
RR000000005US | Two letters, 9 digits, two letters: a post's number for the same item, which Trackmail shows for some untracked items. |
| Any other shape | The delivering courier's own number, shown on Trackmail after "Tracking number:" on a tracked item. |
The three digits after MHI stand for the shop's account with MHI. Type a P number on Trackmail with its dashes, as printed: Trackmail finds those only with them. One parcel can end up with two numbers, MHI's and the courier's. More in tracking number formats.
MHI tracking statuses explained
Trackmail is in English. Above the history it names the service the shop picked: "The seller requested this item be shipped via the following service:", then TRACKED or UNTRACKED. Below come the events, newest first, each with a date, a time and the text, most with a category and a place: MHI's own export scan, then the courier's scans in MHI's wording. In the order a parcel meets them:
| Trackmail says | What it means for you |
|---|---|
Your order has been processed at the UK export facility. It is now on route to the receiver. | MHI has the parcel in the UK and has sent it on abroad. On an untracked service this is often the only line. |
Shipment information sent to last mile service provider | The courier in your country has the parcel's details, not the parcel yet. |
Notification sent to recipient | The courier has told you the parcel is on its way. |
Handed Over to Delivery Partner | The courier has taken the parcel. |
Arrived at sorting center | A depot scan on the courier's network. |
Dispatched from sorting center | It has left that depot. |
Assigned to Transport | It's on a vehicle between depots. |
Shipment at final delivery center | The depot that will deliver it has it. |
Delivery scheduled in the final delivery depot | It's on the day's delivery round. |
Delivery attempted | The delivery failed: nobody took the parcel. |
Arrived at Pick-up Point | It's waiting for you at a pick-up point. |
Successfully delivered | Delivered or collected. |
Read the text, not the category next to it. Trackmail files Shipment at final delivery center and Arrived at Pick-up Point under "Out for delivery", though the first comes before the round and the second means you go and collect it. It files Delivery attempted under "Delivery", like a real delivery. A round and an attempt can repeat over several days.
Times on Trackmail carry no time zone: MHI's own scan is on UK time, the courier's scans on its local time.
For a number it doesn't know, Trackmail shows a single line starting No details found for Tracking Code, or Tracking Code not recognised. It adds that if your order was placed recently, MHI may not have the details yet.
MHI delivery: who brings your parcel
MHI doesn't deliver abroad itself. It says it works with more than 100 carriers to reach 252 countries and territories. At its Bristol facility each parcel's barcode is scanned, and MHI's system picks the carrier for the final mile by destination country. Shops can choose tracked, untracked or express services, so who delivers depends on where you live and what the shop paid for.
Tracked items. Trackmail can show the delivering courier's number after "Tracking number:", with a "View carrier tracking" link to its own site. For queries, Trackmail tells you to use that link or contact your retailer.
Untracked items. Trackmail says only limited tracking information is available, and often shows MHI's export scan alone. For some items it gives a "local poster number": if you give it to your local postal provider or post office, Trackmail says, they may be able to tell you more. Try it on your post's own tracking too: USPS, Canada Post, Australia Post or An Post.
Notices, attempts, redelivery and pick-up points follow the delivering courier's own rules: check its tracking through "View carrier tracking", and see missed deliveries.
MHI parcel not updating, lost or returned
No details found…. Check the number, and type a P number with its dashes. If you ordered recently, MHI may not have the details yet: try again later.
Only the export scan. On an untracked service, that may be all Trackmail shows: use the local poster number with your post if there is one, or ask the shop. On a tracked one, the courier may not have scanned the parcel yet; once its number appears, its own tracking can be newer. See why tracking stops updating.
Delivered but not there. The courier made the delivery, so check its tracking through "View carrier tracking", then contact the shop. See delivered but not received.
Lost or damaged. Contact the shop. MHI works for the shop, publishes no claim process for recipients, and Trackmail itself sends you to your retailer. See lost parcels.
Customs. MHI offers shops several customs terms, DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) among them, so whether anything is left for you to pay depends on what the shop chose. What you might pay is in parcels held at customs.
Returned. How long a parcel nobody takes waits before it goes back is the delivering courier's rule, so check its tracking. If it goes back, ask the shop for a refund or a new parcel. See returned to sender.
MHI contact number and customer service
As read on 28 October 2026, MHI lists:
- Tracking queries: email tracking@mhi.co, given on its eCommerce delivery page and on the contact page of Nexae (its shipping platform).
- Phone: +44 (0) 117 977 6655, a UK number shown with its Bristol address, 82 Feeder Road, BS2 0TQ. MHI gives no hours and doesn't say it takes parcel queries on it.
- Enquiries form: for general enquiries. MHI says parcel tracking queries sent through it will not be picked up or actioned.
MHI's advice to shoppers: check Trackmail, or contact the seller or marketplace. The shop is MHI's client and can chase it; for a missed delivery or a pick-up, go to the courier named on Trackmail.
Track an MHI parcel with Peek
Peek recognises an MHI number by its shape, in all four series above, with or without the dashes. Older labels with only two digits after MHI, or eight digits at the end, aren't looked up: check those on Trackmail. You can also paste a Trackmail link with the number in it; Peek reads it as MHI when the number has MHI's shape.
Peek reads Trackmail and shows the status and the history, with each scan's place on a map. Trackmail gives no expected delivery date, weight or proof of delivery, so Peek gets none of them from MHI, and it leaves out your address and the postcode in the courier's link.
When Trackmail's link points to a courier Peek knows, the parcel's page says "Delivery with" that courier and shows its number. If Peek reads that courier's tracking itself, it asks it with that number and switches to it once it shows newer progress. A courier Peek doesn't know isn't named: use "View carrier tracking" on Trackmail. For an untracked item with a local poster number, Peek may try that number with a national post, usually the one of the country you add the parcel from, and switch the same way. Not with every post, though: an RR… number ending in AU added from Australia isn't passed to Australia Post, so check it on Australia Post's own tracking.
It checks every 10 minutes by day, every 2 minutes once the parcel is out for delivery and every hour or two overnight, and can notify you of "All tracking updates", "Important only" or "Delivery day only". It can't contact MHI, the courier or the shop for you.
Questions about MHI tracking
Where is my MHI parcel?
The newest line on Trackmail gives its stage, and the courier's scans give a town. Before Handed Over to Delivery Partner, MHI has it or it's on its way to your country; after that, the delivering courier has it, and on a tracked item its number is on Trackmail after "Tracking number:".
What does "processed at the UK export facility" mean?
MHI has the parcel at its export facility in the UK and has sent it on towards you. It's MHI's own scan, and on an untracked service it's often the only one.
Is trackmail.co.uk legit?
Yes. Trackmail is MHI's tracking site: the "Track my Parcel" link on MHI's own site leads there. Companies House lists Mail Handling International Limited as an active company, incorporated in 1996, at the Bristol address MHI gives.
Does MHI have a customer service number?
It lists +44 (0) 117 977 6655, but for tracking it asks you to email tracking@mhi.co or contact the shop. For the delivery itself, the courier named on Trackmail is the one to ask.
