GLS Spain tracking: statuses, Parcel Shops and contact
GLS Spain is the Spanish arm of the GLS Group, the parcel network that took over ASM Transporte Urgente in 2016. To track a parcel, open "Track your shipment" on GLS Spain's site or the My GLS app and enter the tracking number together with the delivery postcode: GLS asks for both. The number comes from the shop that sent the parcel.
GLS Spain tracking number and where to find it
The shop gives you the number: look in the shop's shipping email or order page, then in GLS's own emails, SMS, WhatsApp messages and the My GLS app. If the courier missed you, the paper note left at your door, the "nota de paso", carries it too. Still nothing? Ask the shop, as GLS suggests, or see how to find a tracking number.
GLS publishes no length or format for its Spanish numbers. The Spanish form calls the field "N° de envio / Albarán". GLS Spain parcels seen by Peek carried 10 digits starting with 1, like the invented 1234567890.
GLS's tracking page first asks whether the shipment is national or international. Both need the destination postcode, and without it GLS shows nothing.
Ten digits also fit other carriers, among them DHL eCommerce Iberia and TIPSA. If GLS doesn't find the number with the right postcode, check which carrier the shop's email names.
What GLS Spain's tracking statuses mean
GLS Spain's tracking shows its statuses in Spanish or English, depending on the language you pick. These are the English wordings from GLS Spain's own help pages:
| GLS's status | What it means for you |
|---|---|
Label created | The shop has registered the parcel with GLS, but GLS doesn't have it yet. |
Shipment collected by GLS | GLS has the parcel and its journey has begun. |
In transit | It has left the origin and is on its way to the depot that delivers it. |
Out for delivery | It's with a courier today. GLS shows the stops left and an estimated time. |
On delivery | The same stage, as GLS's English FAQ words it. |
Deposited at Parcel Shop | It's waiting at the GLS Parcel Shop you or GLS chose. |
Delivered | Handed to you or to someone you authorised. |
Delivered doesn't always mean at your door: for a parcel sent to a Parcel Shop, GLS says Delivered or "Deposited at" followed by the shop's name both mean it is ready for you to pick up there. The time slot under Out for delivery is only an estimate.
A parcel stuck on Label created for days usually hasn't been handed over yet. GLS says the sender has sent the data but not the parcel, and it can't give a delivery time until it has it, so ask the shop.
GLS delivery in Spain: missed parcels, Parcel Shops and lockers
GLS delivers Monday to Friday, roughly from 9am to 8pm, plus Saturday mornings for its Express Saturday service. Within Spain, GLS gives a standard 24 working hours once the parcel is in its network (islands excluded).
If you're out. The courier leaves a nota de paso saying where the parcel is. EconomyParcel shipments get one attempt and then go to the nearest Parcel Shop. Other services may get a second attempt; a parcel still not delivered waits at the depot and goes back to the sender 7 calendar days after the first attempt.
Parcel Shops. GLS says it has more than 10,500 GLS Points in Spain. Its pages disagree on how long a shop keeps a parcel: 7 calendar days on its redirection page, 9 after a missed delivery on its recipients page. Count on about a week and check the note or the tracking. Bring an official ID. Someone else can pick it up with GLS's signed authorisation form and a copy of your DNI or NIE.
Parcel Lockers. GLS sends a PIN by SMS, email or in My GLS. The parcel stays 7 calendar days from its arrival, and GLS recommends picking it up within 48 hours.
Changing the delivery. In the tracking, choose "Pick up at convenience point", then "Pick up at this Parcel Shop". Redirecting is free. You can change the address yourself only within the same postcode; for another postcode, the sender has to ask GLS, which may add a working day. After a one-time consent in My GLS, GLS sends the expected delivery date by WhatsApp and lets you redirect the parcel to a nearby Parcel Shop from the chat.
GLS parcel not delivered, late or damaged
First check the tracking with your number and postcode, and the nota de paso if you have one. If that doesn't explain it, contact GLS (below) with the number to hand. When tracking stops moving for days, see tracking that isn't updating.
If the packaging is damaged at the door, GLS says you can refuse the parcel: it goes back and GLS tells the sender. Damage inside the box goes to the sender, because GLS doesn't check what parcels contain. GLS's general terms, written for the shops that send with it, ask for damage to be noted on the delivery receipt, and for hidden damage or loss to be reported within 7 calendar days of delivery for parcels within Spain.
For a formal complaint, GLS Spain has an official complaint sheet (hoja de reclamaciones) at its offices open to the public, or Madrid's official form sent to [email protected]. GLS says it answers within 30 days and doesn't belong to any consumer arbitration scheme.
For a parcel from outside the EU, GLS Spain or an authorised agent will probably contact you by email, SMS or letter to pay duties and taxes. See parcels held at customs.
GLS Spain customer service and contact number
GLS Spain's channels for recipients, as read on 11 October 2026 (its English contact page lists the same ones as the Spanish):
- Phone +34 91 080 62 29, Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 19:00. GLS doesn't state what the call costs.
- WhatsApp "Consulta" at wa.me/34634750104, linked from GLS's FAQ.
- Private message on Facebook (@GLSSpain), Instagram (@gls_spain) or X (@GLS_clientes), Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00.
- Gisela, GLS's virtual assistant, which also opens when you choose "Make a claim" on the contact page.
GLS says 911 118 768 is a genuine number it uses only for quality calls.
Tracking GLS Spain parcels with Peek
Peek has no direct line to GLS Spain. It follows these parcels only through universal tracking services, and in Peek's tests one service asked for the delivery postcode while the others gave no history, so a parcel may show nothing. When a service needs the postcode, Peek may say "A tracking service needs the delivery postcode. You can add it after saving." When something does show, Peek checks every 10 minutes, even out for delivery, and can notify you when the status changes.
Peek doesn't recognise GLS Spain from the number alone. It asks other carriers about a 10-digit number (TIPSA, Relais Colis, DHL eCommerce Iberia, and DHL Express when its check digit fits), never GLS Spain, so press "Change" and pick "GLS Spain". A mygls.gls-spain.es link with /e/?codigo=, or a gls-group.com or gls-group.eu link with /ES/ in it, names GLS Spain straight away.
