Colis Privé tracking: French statuses and what to do
Colis Privé is a French parcel carrier for online shops, delivering in France, Belgium and Luxembourg to homes, pickup points and, in France, lockers. Track a parcel with its 12-character number and the delivery postcode on colisprive.fr for France or colisprive.be for Belgium and Luxembourg. The number comes in the shop's shipping email or Colis Privé's notifications.
Colis Privé tracking number: where to find it
Colis Privé's help lists four places: the shop's order confirmation email, Colis Privé's notifications (sent only if the shop switched them on), your account on the shop's website and the delivery notice. The reference the shop gives can differ from the tracking number. Its official emails come only from [email protected].
The number is 12 letters and digits:
| Shape | Invented example |
|---|---|
| Two letters, ten digits | AB1234567890 |
| One letter, eleven digits | A12345678901 |
| Twelve digits | 987654321098 |
The tracking also asks for the delivery postcode; a number it doesn't recognise sends you back to the empty form. Twelve digits alone also fit FedEx, Mondial Relay and others, CC plus ten digits points to Relais Colis and FR plus ten digits to Amazon Logistics. Check which carrier your email names, or see tracking number formats. Colis Privé Store orders have an order number (the order reference) that usually starts with HS or 2R, and they're tracked only on colisprive-store.com with that reference.
Colis Privé tracking statuses: what the French words mean
Peek reads Colis Privé's tracking in French, one dated sentence per step; its English help pages use labels such as in transit instead. In the order a parcel meets them:
| Colis Privé's words | What it means for you |
|---|---|
Colis attendu par Colis Privé | Colis Privé doesn't have it yet. |
pris en charge | Colis Privé has your parcel. |
arrivé sur notre agence | It's at the local depot. |
rendez-vous est confirmé | Delivery day booked; the date ends the line. |
en cours de distribution par le livreur | It's out with the driver. |
nous avons tenté de livrer | The driver couldn't deliver it. |
vous attend au relais | It's waiting at a pickup point. |
a été livré | Delivered, in your letterbox or by hand. |
incident | A problem Colis Privé is checking. |
retourné à l'expéditeur | It has been returned to the shop. |
Colis attendu par Colis Privé (Package awaiting Colis Privé in the English help) means Colis Privé hasn't received it from the sender yet: the shop still has the parcel or, the Belgian site adds, it's in international transport or customs. Ask the shop. pris en charge sounds like "taken care of" but only means Colis Privé has it. va être prochainement déposé announces a pickup-point drop on the date given, and subi un retard means a delay.
Colis Privé delivery hours, missed deliveries and parcel shops
France. Colis Privé delivers between 8am and 7pm; its pages don't name the days. The parcel goes in your letterbox if it fits, into your hands if it needs a signature or to a neighbour or caretaker. Otherwise the driver leaves a notice. If the shop allows it, click "Modify my delivery" ("Convenir d'une date de présentation") in the tracking and choose a day at home between noon and 9pm, someone else at an address with the same postcode or a pickup point. If not, the parcel waits at the nearest pickup point. You have 10 working days to reschedule and 8 days to pick it up, then it goes back to the shop.
Colis Privé says it has over 5,500 pickup points in mainland France (finder). Its outdoor lockers open with a code sent by email and text.
Belgium and Luxembourg. Delivery runs Monday to Saturday, noon to 10pm. If you're out, the parcel may go to a neighbour named on the notice. A second delivery happens only if you book it in the tracking on colisprive.be: a later day, a pickup point or an address with the same postcode. Book soon: its pages give 8 or 10 days before the parcel goes back. Its 800 pickup points (finder) keep parcels for 8 calendar days.
Colis Privé package not delivered: late, lost or damaged
Colis Privé handles delivery claims; a refund or replacement depends on the shop's conditions.
France. Check colisprive.fr's banner for general delays first. If the parcel is late, damaged or not delivered, a "File a claim" ("Déposer une réclamation") button appears on its tracking page. Its pages differ on the reply time: the claims page says 2 to 7 working days, by email or phone, while the delay and delivered-but-not-received pages say 48 working hours. No button means a claim is already open, perhaps by the shop, or the time limit has passed. Marked delivered but not there? Colis Privé says that means the driver confirmed it: check the letterbox, the caretaker and your neighbours, then claim. See delivered but not received.
Belgium and Luxembourg. Once Colis Privé has the parcel, delivery generally takes 48 hours. More than 4 days late? Claim on colisprive.be; replies take at least 4 working days. Claim within one month of delivery; after that the button disappears. Once a parcel is back with the sender, only the shop can act. In Belgium, if a complaint was handled badly, the Postal Sector Mediation Service (ombudsmanposte.be) is free.

Tracking a Colis Privé parcel with Peek
Peek needs the number followed by the delivery postcode: AB1234567890 75001 (France), AB1234567890 B1000 (Belgium) or AB1234567890 L1234 (Luxembourg), all invented. Keep the B or L; a number alone can't be looked up. Links from colisprive.com or colisprive.fr can be pasted too. All-digit numbers are shared with other carriers, so Peek asks the likely ones in turn.
It checks every 10 minutes, every 2 minutes once the parcel is out for delivery and can notify you of every scan, important steps only or delivery day only. It shows the status, the history in French and the expected delivery, and leaves out the recipient's name and address. Peek can't file a claim or contact Colis Privé for you.
