Lingdong International tracking: SZLD numbers and statuses

6 min read

Peek is an independent tracker, not Lingdong International. It shows what Lingdong International’s own tracking publishes.

Lingdong International (领东国际, Shenzhen Lingdong International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd.) is a freight forwarder in Shenzhen, China, that ships parcels abroad for online sellers. Its numbers start with SZLD: type yours in the 快件查询 (parcel lookup) box on Lingdong's site, lingdong56.com, which opens its tracker, or in the box above. The shop that sent your order gives the number with its shipping details.

Lingdong tracking number: what it looks like

Lingdong publishes no number format. The waybills its tracker answers are SZLD followed by ten digits. With invented digits:

NumberWhat it is
SZLD1234567890SZLD and ten digits: a Lingdong International waybill.
SZLD123456789Only nine digits: not a Lingdong shape. Check for a missing digit.
LX123456785CNTwo letters, nine digits and CN: a China Post number, not Lingdong's.

Lower case and spaces don't matter when you paste the number into Peek.

Where to find it. Lingdong's customers are sellers in China. Its site offers them an account login, a price calculator and booking instructions; apart from the tracking box, nothing on it is aimed at recipients. The seller books the parcel and passes the number on, usually with the order's shipping details. If you can't find it, see how to find your tracking number.

Other numbers. Lingdong's tracker also finds a parcel by the reference the seller gave it, which it shows as 参考号 (reference number). Lingdong also sells China Post, PostNL, UPS, DHL and FedEx services, so a number in another company's format belongs to that company: see tracking number formats.

Lingdong tracking statuses explained

Lingdong publishes no list of its statuses. It writes its scans in English, each with a place. The wordings seen on its tracker, in the order a parcel meets them:

Lingdong saysWhat it means for you
货物电子信息已经收到"Electronic shipment information received": the seller has created the order. Lingdong doesn't have the parcel yet.
Shipment arrived at facilityThe parcel reached Lingdong's warehouse in Shenzhen. It's the first scan in Lingdong's hands.
Shipment departed from facilityIt left that warehouse on its way abroad.

The Chinese line isn't a scan of the parcel. Lingdong's tracking system writes it by itself for an order that has no scans yet, dated when the order was created.

The departure scan is usually the last line. Lingdong's record names no carrier that delivers in your country and no second number, so the history stops there unless Lingdong adds more rows. A parcel can keep Shipment departed from facility as its latest line while it flies, clears customs and is delivered by another company.

Who delivers Lingdong parcels

Lingdong's site lists what it sells to sellers: small-parcel lines (专线小包) to the US, the UK, the EU, Australia, Mexico, Canada and Japan; China Post's ePacket (E邮宝) and large-parcel services; PostNL (荷兰邮政); lines for light, bulky goods; and UPS, DHL and FedEx express, for which it is an agent. It also describes itself as an international freight forwarder handling air freight, and offers sellers single-order dispatch and warehousing.

It doesn't say which company delivers on each line, and its tracker doesn't name one either. For China Post's parcel service, Lingdong's page says it reaches more than 200 countries and territories, by air, by surface or by a mix of the two, with tracking all the way.

Lingdong publishes no delivery times and no rules for delivery attempts, notice cards, pickup points or how long a parcel is held. Once a local carrier has the parcel, its rules apply. Import VAT and duties follow your country's rules: see parcels held at customs. Lingdong's own pages on customs rules by country are written for sellers and out of date; they still give the EU's former €22 threshold.

Lingdong parcel not arriving or tracking stuck

Stuck on Shipment departed from facility. That's where Lingdong's tracking usually ends, so a quiet history doesn't mean the parcel has stopped. Ask the seller which carrier delivers it in your country and for that carrier's number; its tracking has the rest. More in why tracking stops updating and tracking a parcel from China.

Only the Chinese line. 货物电子信息已经收到 on its own means the seller has booked the parcel but it hasn't reached Lingdong's warehouse. If nothing follows for several days, ask the seller whether it has been sent.

Nothing found. For a number it doesn't know, Lingdong's tracker shows the number with every other field empty. Check the number with the seller.

Lost, damaged or returned. Lingdong publishes no claim process for recipients: its terms of carriage page is empty. Its site has a chat button for problem parcels, claims and complaints, but the seller holds the contract with Lingdong, so ask the seller or the marketplace for a refund or a new parcel.

Track a Lingdong parcel with Peek

Peek names Lingdong International at once for an SZLD number, a shape no other carrier in its catalog uses. A link to Lingdong's tracker with documentCode= and the number in it can be pasted too.

Peek reads Lingdong's own tracker and shows the status, each scan with its place, and the destination country and service name when Lingdong's record gives them. All three wordings show as Lingdong writes them, the Chinese line included, since none matches Peek's own words. Scan times are read on China's clock, as the tracker gives no time zone; a line dated later than the moment Peek reads it waits until then. Peek leaves out the recipient's name the tracker shows, and shows no expected delivery date: Lingdong gives none.

As Lingdong's record names no delivery carrier or second number, Peek doesn't hand the parcel over to another carrier: its history stops where Lingdong's does. If the seller gives you the local carrier's number, add it as a parcel of its own.

Peek checks every 10 minutes and can notify you of every scan, important steps only or "Delivery day only". It can't contact Lingdong or the seller for you.

Questions about Lingdong tracking

What is Lingdong International?

It is Shenzhen Lingdong International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd. (深圳市领东国际货运代理有限公司), a Shenzhen company that ships parcels abroad for Chinese online sellers. Its site is lingdong56.com.

Why is my Lingdong tracking stuck on "Shipment departed from facility"?

Because that's usually Lingdong's last scan: it marks the parcel leaving the Shenzhen warehouse, and Lingdong's record names no carrier that delivers it afterwards. Ask the seller for the local carrier's number to follow the rest.

How long does Lingdong take to deliver?

Lingdong publishes no delivery times. Go by the estimate the shop gave for your order.

Where can I track an SZLD number?

On Lingdong's tracker, through the 快件查询 box on lingdong56.com, or in Peek, which recognises SZLD numbers at once.

Who do I contact about a missing Lingdong parcel?

The seller you ordered from: it booked the parcel with Lingdong and holds the contract. Lingdong lists two Chinese mobile numbers and a QQ chat, but nothing for recipients.
