Evri tracking: statuses, ParcelShops and missed deliveries

6 min read

Peek is an independent tracker, not Evri. It shows what Evri’s own tracking publishes.

Evri is the UK parcel carrier known as Hermes UK until March 2022. Track a parcel on evri.com with its 16-character tracking number or a calling card's 8-digit number, or paste the barcode or Evri's tracking link in the box above. The sender usually emails you the number; Evri's texts and emails carry it too.

Evri tracking number: where to find it

Evri calls it a 16-character code or a 16-digit number, though its own example has letters. Look in the shop's shipping email or Evri's texts (from "Evri") and emails.

Shape (invented)What it is
H00ABC1234567890Evri's barcode: H (sometimes T), five letters or digits, ten digits.
1234567890123456Sixteen digits: may be Evri's; TNT and DHL eCommerce use them too.
12340000A calling card number, which works on evri.com.

An H followed only by digits (H123456789012349) also fits Hermes in Germany: go by the carrier the shop names. International parcels need Evri's international tracker. No number? See how to find a tracking number.

What Evri's tracking statuses mean

evri.com's headlines, in the order a parcel meets them:

Evri saysWhat it means for you
It's bookedThe sender has booked it.
We're expecting itEvri doesn't have the parcel yet.
We've got itEvri has the parcel.
In transitMoving through hubs and depots.
Out for deliveryWith your courier today.
DeliveredDelivered to you, left with a neighbour or in a safe place.
Ready for collectionWaiting at a ParcelShop or, with a capital C, in a Locker.

We need you to take actionEvri needs more information: start a chat.
It's on its way backA return is heading back.
On its way back to the retailerA return's last update: Evri sends none once the shop has it.

For a ParcelShop delivery, on its way means it's heading to your ParcelShop.

Missed Evri delivery: calling cards, ParcelShops and lockers

On the day. The courier sets the expected time that morning. Once the parcel is out, Evri sends a window: its homepage says 1 hour, its help centre 2 hours.

If you're out. Where possible the courier leaves it in a safe place, even one you didn't choose, or posts it through the letterbox. Otherwise you get a calling card with an 8-digit number and the next attempt, normally the next day, up to three in all. After the last, Evri's safe-place guide says the parcel goes back to the depot; its terms, to the sender.

Changing it. On Evri's tracking page, enter the tracking or calling card number and your postcode to choose a safe place or neighbour if the sender allows, until the courier reaches your doorstep. Only your last request counts. When the shop requires a signature there's no diversion. Evri can't change the day; only the sender can change the address.

At a ParcelShop, you get a text or email when the parcel is ready. Bring the confirmation email or text plus ID, such as a driving licence, or the PIN the sender emails. Evri's page for senders says a parcel waits 10 days, then goes back.

Lockers outside shops and supermarkets are open 24/7. You have 3 days to pick up, with a code Evri sends.

Evri parcel late, lost or damaged

No tracking yet just means Evri hasn't received the parcel. If We're expecting it doesn't move, ask the sender; for any other status unchanged for 24 hours, start a chat. See why tracking stops updating.

Still waiting after 7 days with Evri? Tell the sender, who holds the contract and contacts Evri. If you bought from a business, Citizens Advice says delivery is the seller's responsibility.

Delivered but not there. Ask your household and neighbours, then start a chat so your local depot can investigate. More in delivered but not received.

Damaged or lost. Ask the sender for a refund or replacement: Evri can't give either, and only the sender can claim. Evri recommends senders claim within 28 days of the order for UK services, 45 for international.

Evri contact number and customer service

Evri lists these UK channels (read 10 October 2026), and none for Ireland or elsewhere:

  • Chat 24/7 on evri.com/contact-us, with a reply in 24 hours or less.
  • Phone 0330 808 5456, open 24/7, with advisors Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm and Saturday 8am to 2pm (other Evri pages differ). Call from the number linked to the parcel, or key in the tracking number's last 8 digits or the calling card number. GOV.UK says 03 numbers cost about the same as 01 and 02 numbers.
  • Tell us straight: if Customer Services couldn't help, email [email protected] with that subject.

Tracking an Evri parcel with Peek

Peek can't name Evri UK from a typed barcode on its own: Evri International uses the same shape, and neither can be asked whether it knows a number. You'll see "Peek looks it up when you track": press "Change" and pick "Evri UK" under "Fits this number" (the "Evri" listed first is Evri International), or paste the evri.com/track/parcel/…/details link from Evri's page or email, which Peek reads as Evri UK at once. Otherwise Peek asks only universal tracking services. For H and 15 digits it asks only Hermes Germany, and for 16 digits only other carriers, so pick Evri UK there too. No postcode needed, but Peek can't track calling card numbers.

You see the status, the history, the sender's name when it's a business and, while out for delivery, Evri's window in UK time; no earlier date. Evri gives no scan places, so the map stays empty. A courier delivery shows as "Delivered", without where it was left. Any other scan naming the recipient reads "Delivery update", and the rest keep Evri's own sentence, not the headlines above. A parcel waiting at a ParcelShop or Locker shows as "Ready for pickup", and one collected from a ParcelShop as "Delivered". Your name, address, the delivery photo and collection codes are dropped.

Peek checks every 10 minutes, every 2 once out for delivery, and can notify you of every scan, important steps only or delivery day only. It doesn't follow parcels to other carriers.

Questions about Evri tracking

Is Evri the same as Hermes?

Yes: Evri is the former Hermes UK, renamed in March 2022. Hermes in Germany is a separate carrier.

Is Evri part of Royal Mail?

No. Evri is owned by funds managed by Apollo, and in 2025 the UK competition authority cleared its takeover of DHL eCommerce UK.

How long does Evri take to deliver?

Evri says typically 1 to 3 days once it has the parcel, depending on the sender's service; its help centre says 1 to 2 days for next-day parcels, 3 to 5 for standard.

Can I track an Evri parcel by postcode?

No. Evri asks for the tracking or calling card number; the postcode comes on top, to divert the parcel or see more.
