DHL eCommerce Netherlands tracking: statuses and contact
DHL eCommerce Netherlands, formerly DHL Parcel, delivers parcels for online shops in the Netherlands and Belgium; its Belgian site signs as DHL eCommerce Benelux. Track a parcel with "Track and trace" on dhlecommerce.nl with the shipment number and your postcode, or paste the number from the shop's or DHL's email in the box above.
DHL eCommerce NL tracking number
The number is in DHL's shipping email or the shop's order email. On the label it is the code starting JVGL at the bottom. No number at all? DHL says the sender always has it, so ask the shop; see also how to find your tracking number.
| Shape (invented) | What it is |
|---|---|
JVGL1234567890 | JVGL followed by letters and digits: the usual DHL eCommerce parcel number. |
3SABC12345678 | 3S, three letters, then digits: a DHL barcode shape. |
| Code on the yellow card | The delivery code on a missed-delivery card. Enter it with your postcode in track and trace. |
Some numbers look alike. A 3S code with four letters after it is usually PostNL's, a JJD number is DHL Germany's shape (though DHL's Dutch tracking can know it), and a DHL Express parcel has a waybill number under its barcode. Some 12-character 3S codes also fit Colis Privé. If the tracker finds nothing, check which carrier the shop's email names.
What DHL eCommerce tracking statuses mean
DHL's tracking page comes in English, Dutch and, for Belgium, French. These are its English wordings for the Netherlands, in the order a parcel usually meets them:
| DHL says | What it means for you |
|---|---|
Shipment not yet received or processed | The shop has made a label; DHL hasn't scanned the parcel yet. |
Processed at the sorting center | Sorted at a DHL hub. |
Arrived in your region | At the local depot that will deliver it. |
Delivery planned in the route of the courier | Planned on a courier's route. |
Out for delivery with the courier | With the courier today. |
We're almost there | The courier is close: DHL says within 15 minutes. |
Delivered | Delivered to you. |
Delivered at the neighbours | Left with a neighbour; DHL still leaves a yellow card. |
We missed each other, we will forward your parcel to a DHL ServicePoint | Nobody was in; the parcel goes to a pickup point. |
Parcel delivered at DHL ServicePoint and is ready for collection | Waiting for you at a ServicePoint. |
Collected at DHL ServicePoint by the recipient | Picked up: done. |
Returned to the sender | Going back to the shop. |
A few lines say "delivered" when the parcel isn't with you. Delivered at DHL ServicePoint means ready for pickup. Delivered at depot means it's at a DHL depot, still on its way. Delivered at the sender means it went back to the shop. Handed over to the courier means out for delivery.
For Delivery interrupted, the parcel is delayed for one or two days, DHL's Dutch help says to wait one or two days. Sorted incorrectly, delayed because of resorting and forwarding to correct destination usually costs two working days.
DHL ServicePoints, lockers and missed deliveries
Netherlands. DHL delivers Monday to Saturday, during the day or in the evening. Once it has the parcel, it emails the expected delivery, then a narrower time slot on the day. After sorting, usually the evening or morning before, track and trace lets you pick another moment, a neighbour, a ServicePoint or an agreed place around your home. You can change the day or time three times per shipment. That isn't possible when a signature is needed or the parcel is already going to a ServicePoint.
If you're out and the neighbours can't take it, DHL takes the parcel to a nearby ServicePoint and leaves a yellow card with a code. You can still ask for another attempt at home, at a neighbour's or at another DHL point; choose before 11.59 PM.
DHL counts about 5,000 ServicePoints in the Netherlands, and most of its lockers are open around the clock. A ServicePoint keeps the parcel for at most 5 days, with a reminder after two; then it goes back to the sender. For a locker, DHL sends a pick-up code by email or text, and the parcel also waits 5 days; a parcel too big for it goes to the nearest ServicePoint. Bring an ID card, passport or driving licence. Someone else can usually pick it up with their own ID, unless the shop's email says only you can.
Belgium. Here bpost usually delivers DHL's parcels, Monday to Friday, and DHL's tracking links to bpost's for the details. bpost points serve as DHL's pickup points: a parcel waits 14 calendar days at a point and 5 in a locker. When DHL's own courier misses you, it comes back the next working day; missed twice, the parcel waits 5 working days at a DHL Regional Hub, where you show the card and your ID.
DHL parcel delayed, lost or damaged
If tracking stops moving, DHL asks you to contact the sender, even when the parcel is already with DHL: the shop holds the contract, has the details and opens an investigation. See also tracking that isn't updating.
Delivered but not there. Check with the neighbours and in your mailbox, including an outside one. DHL says to wait one working day, as the parcel often still arrives. Then contact the sender, and DHL if that doesn't solve it. More in delivered but not received.
Lost or damaged. Tell the sender as soon as possible: it claims from DHL and can replace the item or refund you. In Belgium DHL says plainly that only the sender can file a claim.
Returned. In Belgium DHL can no longer stop a returning parcel; ask the sender to send it again.
DHL eCommerce Nederland contact and customer service
As listed on DHL's consumer pages on 12 October 2026:
- Netherlands: the customer service chat. DHL's consumer pages give no phone number.
- Belgium: a live chat, where a digital assistant checks whether a person is free, and a contact form for private customers with a reply within 24 hours, both on the customer service page. No phone number either.
- App: My DHL, from the App Store or Google Play.
Tracking DHL eCommerce parcels with Peek
Peek names DHL eCommerce Netherlands at once for JVGL numbers and for 3S with three letters and 8 to 10 digits. Other 3S codes are asked of DHL eCommerce Netherlands (with Colis Privé for some lengths). Some also fit PostNL, which can't be asked, and a DHL barcode with four letters after 3S reads as PostNL's or matches nothing: pick DHL eCommerce Netherlands with "Change". A JJD number is named DHL unless you change it. Links from my.dhlecommerce.nl, dhlparcel.nl, dhlecommerce.be and dhlparcel.be ending in /home/tracktrace/ and the number work too.
It asks without your postcode, so DHL leaves out the recipient, address, signature and ServicePoint. You see the status, the history, the expected delivery (a time window or moment, when DHL plans one) and the delivery time. DHL gives no place for its scans. The parcel is checked every 10 minutes, every 2 minutes once the parcel is out for delivery; notifications tell you when the status changes. Statuses appear in DHL's English, except Delivered and Returned to sender, shown in Peek's own words; Peek counts Delivered at DHL ServicePoint as ready for pickup. A Belgian parcel isn't followed on to bpost.
Questions about DHL eCommerce Netherlands tracking
Is DHL eCommerce the same as DHL Parcel?

In the Netherlands DHL delivers Monday to Saturday, so Saturday yes. In Belgium deliveries run Monday to Friday, with Saturday only when the sender chose Saturday delivery.
How long will DHL hold my parcel at a ServicePoint?
