SunYou tracking: SY numbers, statuses and who delivers

7 min read

Peek is an independent tracker, not SunYou. It shows what SunYou’s own tracking publishes.

SunYou, also written SYPost, is a Shenzhen logistics company that carries small parcels for online sellers in China and hands them to a local carrier in your country for the last stretch. Its numbers start with SY: type yours on SunYou's tracking site, sypost.net, or in the box above. The shop gives the number with your order's shipping details.

SunYou tracking number: what it looks like

SunYou publishes no number format, but the numbers seen on its tracking take two shapes. With invented digits:

NumberWhat it is
SY12345678901SY and 11 digits: SunYou.
SYGB000000000SY, two letters and 9 digits: SunYou too.
LP00000000000000LP and 14 digits: an AliExpress and Cainiao logistics number.
RR123456785CNTwo letters, nine digits, CN: a China Post number.

The two letters after SY don't always match the destination. On SunYou's tracking, an SYRM number went to Japan and another to Bulgaria, and an SYAE number went to Greece.

Where to find it. No SunYou page says how the number reaches you. The seller books the parcel and gives the number with the order's shipping details. If you can't find it, see how to find your tracking number.

Numbers that look alike. Some shops say an LP number travels with SunYou, but that shape belongs to AliExpress's logistics; track it as a Cainiao parcel. An SY number with only 10 digits, or with more than 11, is not a SunYou shape.

A second number later on. Once the parcel leaves SunYou's centre in China, the tracking often adds "Carrier Tracking Number:" with the local carrier's own number, its name after "Distributor:" and its website. That number works on the local carrier's tracking.

SunYou tracking statuses: what they mean

sypost.net shows the scans in the language you pick there (13 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German and Portuguese). In English, in the order a parcel usually meets them:

SunYou saysWhat it means for you
Pre-Shipment Info Sent To United KingdomThe seller registered the parcel. SunYou doesn't have it yet.
Acceptance, Sent To United KingdomSunYou received it in China.
Departed Sunyou FacilityIt left SunYou's centre, often with the local carrier's number.
Export Customs Clearance SuccessedCleared to leave China.
Departed From Port Of OriginThe flight or ship has left.
Arrived At GMTCAt SunYou's global mail transit centre, a hub on the way.
Arrived At Destination Country AirportLanded in your country.
Customs Clearance In ProcessGoing through import customs.
Customs Clearance SuccessedThrough customs.
Hand Over To Last MileThe local carrier has it. Follow its number from here.
Delivery In ProgressOut for delivery.
DeliveredDelivered.

Some lines are written differently from parcel to parcel: GMTC, Arrived is the same as Arrived At GMTC, and Customs Clearance Was Completed the same as Customs Clearance Successed. Delivered, At Mailbox and Delivered, Left At The Door say where the parcel was left.

Two things confuse people. First, Delivered can come straight after Hand Over To Last Mile, or even after the airport line, with nothing in between: the local carrier's own tracking has the steps SunYou skips. Second, the summary at the top of the page has its own labels. Alert means a possible problem and Expired means the parcel has been in transit too long; neither means a failed delivery. Undelivered does mean a delivery failed; the history may give a reason such as Delivery Failed, Reason: Incorrect Address.

For customs stops, Customs Clearance Hold and Delivery failed, Reason: Refusal to pay VAT / customs duties are the lines to watch; see parcels held at customs.

Who delivers SunYou parcels

SunYou delivers nothing itself in Europe: its commercial line hands parcels to local carriers in the destination country, and its tracking names that carrier. In histories read on its tracking, Royal Mail delivered in the UK, DHL Paket in Germany, USPS or GOFO in the US and Canada Post in Canada.

SunYou publishes no rules for delivery attempts, cards, pickup points or how long a parcel is held. Those are the local carrier's rules, so once you have its name and number, check its site to rearrange a delivery or find where the parcel waits.

Some SunYou parcels go as ordinary mail, which SunYou says can be tracked only until the destination's post receives them. On those, the history may stop once that post has the parcel.

SunYou's tracking also has a "Proof of Delivery" link, which asks for the recipient's phone number.

SunYou parcel not arriving or tracking stuck

Who acts. The seller is SunYou's customer: they open an account, book the parcel and hold the contract. SunYou's pages give recipients no claim route, so for a late, lost, damaged or returned parcel, contact the seller or the marketplace you ordered from. SunYou's compensation rules are for sellers.

How long it takes. SunYou's figures for sellers give "4-5 days from acceptance to some main destinations" on its general line, "fastest delivery within 5 days" to main European and American countries on its commercial line, and 20 to 30 calendar days on its US economy line. These are sales figures, not a date for your order.

No update. If the history shows a carrier number, check that carrier's tracking first. More in why tracking stops updating.

Lost or returned. SunYou's wordings for these are Unfortunately, Your Parcel Is Lost, Returned and Package Return, Reason: Incomplete Address Information. Any of them is a reason to contact the seller.

SunYou contact number and customer service

As read on 12 October 2026, SunYou lists the same channels for every country, with no local office for recipients:

  • Hotline: +86 4006075388, a Chinese number. No hours or call costs are published.
  • Email: [email protected], its track-and-trace mailbox.
  • Complaints: [email protected], on a contact page in Chinese.

For anything that needs action, the seller and the local carrier are the ones to ask. SunYou publishes no warning about fake delivery messages.

Track a SunYou parcel with Peek

Peek names SunYou at once for both SY shapes, which no other carrier in its catalog shares. A sypost.net link with the number in it, such as the one "Copy Link" gives, can be pasted too.

SunYou's lines show in English whatever your language, except exact matches such as Delivered, which appear in Peek's own words. Peek shows the status, the history (up to 20 scans, with no place for each), the destination country, the delivery time and the local carrier with its number. It shows no expected delivery date and no pickup point for SunYou parcels. Scan times keep their time zone, China's and then your country's; a scan without one doesn't appear.

When SunYou gives the local carrier's number, Peek can ask that carrier (Royal Mail, DHL in Germany, Canada Post, USPS or the national post, for example) and switch to it once it shows newer progress. The parcel keeps its SunYou number, its page says "Delivery with" that carrier and lists the carrier's own number with a link. This doesn't happen for every parcel: Meest in Greece, for one, isn't followed.

It checks every 10 minutes, every 2 minutes once the parcel is out for delivery, and can notify you of every scan, important steps only or "Delivery day only". It can't contact SunYou or the seller for you.
