CACESA tracking: customs, statuses and who delivers
CACESA (Compañía Auxiliar al Cargo Express) is a Madrid customs agent for online shopping parcels from China to Spain and Portugal: it receives them at several airports, clears them through customs and hands them to the company that delivers them. It delivers nothing itself. Track a parcel on CACESA's tracking page with the shipment number the shop gave you, or paste it in the box above.
CACESA tracking number: which one to use
CACESA publishes no number format. Its tracker asks for the "Shipment number", meaning the one the shop or its Chinese shipping company passed on with the parcel. It's in the shop's shipping email or on the order page. CACESA has no direct contact with the website you ordered from.
Shapes seen on CACESA's tracker (digits invented):
| Shape | What it is |
|---|---|
CNES00000000000 | CNES and 11 digits. |
CNESP00000000000000000000 | CNESP and 20 digits, a parcel for Spain. |
CNPRT00000000000000000000 | CNPRT and 20 digits, a parcel for Portugal. |
Peek's catalog ties none of them to CACESA. CNESP and CNPRT numbers are also Ecoscooting's, Cainiao's delivery service in Spain and Portugal, and an LP number with 14 digits is AliExpress's logistics reference, tracked with Cainiao. If CACESA's tracker doesn't know your number, try the carrier the shop's email names. More in tracking number formats.
You can type several numbers at once on CACESA's tracker. Not found? CACESA says to check the number and that a recent order may not be in its system yet. Older parcels also drop out of its tracker.
A letter from the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) about a held parcel carries an "HB" reference. That's for CACESA, not for tracking.
CACESA tracking statuses explained
CACESA's tracker shows Spanish wordings on its Spanish page and these English ones on its English page. Each line has a date and time, under a heading: Data registered, Warehouse or Custom Clearance.
| CACESA's status | What it means for you |
|---|---|
Electronic notification of shipment received | CACESA has the parcel's data. The parcel itself hasn't arrived yet. |
Arrival Notification | The parcel has been announced as arriving at CACESA. |
Inbound warehouse | It's in CACESA's warehouse. |
Start Custom clearance Process | Customs clearance has started. |
Customs cleared-Green channel | Customs released it: it can be delivered. |
Parcel is going out from Cacesa facilities - More delivery information check with transport company. | CACESA has handed it to the company that delivers it. |
Shipment not found | CACESA doesn't know this number, or no longer shows it. |
Green channel is the good one. CACESA's FAQ names two others: orange (customs checks the documents) and red (customs checks the goods and the documents). If customs needs anything from you, CACESA writes by email or SMS (below).
The "going out" line is usually the last one CACESA shows. From there the parcel is with the delivery company, and CACESA's page tells you to ask that company for delivery details.
CACESA delivery, missed deliveries and returns
CACESA puts it plainly: "it is not Cacesa who performs the delivery but the transport company chosen by your internet trader". CACESA doesn't name these companies, so the shop's email or the order page is where to look.
That company sets the delivery day, pickup points, lockers and Saturday deliveries. CACESA says nothing about them, so ask the delivery company. After its set number of delivery attempts, CACESA says the company returns the parcel to the seller; it gives no number of attempts.
If your parcel was held, CACESA takes 3 to 4 days after it's released to hand it over, plus the days delivery takes to your postcode.
CACESA doesn't handle returns from private buyers. Arrange a return with the shop or the delivery company.
CACESA customs: payment, documents and problems
Email or SMS from CACESA. A message saying your parcel is waiting for customs clearance means customs needs more information, or taxes are due before it can be cleared. CACESA asks for these at [email protected]:
- the invoice or proof of purchase, for example a screenshot of the order showing the parcel number, item and price, with a photo of the goods;
- proof of payment, such as a screenshot of the card charge;
- a note saying you're self-employed, if you are.
Paying. On cacesa.com choose "Tax payment", enter the shipment number and the purchase amount in euros, and the page shows the duties, taxes and total. Pay by card, PayPal or Bizum. CACESA pays the Tax Agency on your behalf, so you can't withdraw the payment; customer service refunds overpayments. Unpaid parcels go back to where they came from.
Don't want it? Send CACESA's goods abandonment form to [email protected] and it arranges with the Tax Agency for the parcel to go back to origin.
A letter from the Tax Agency. For "Decomiso - Depósito temporal" or "Validación de datos", scan it and email it to [email protected]. CACESA tells you whether the parcel can still be recovered.
What you owe depends on the rules covered in parcel held at customs. CACESA's FAQ notes a €3 customs charge per item on orders up to €150 since 1 July 2026, with identical items counted once; if the marketplace charged VAT and duties at checkout, nothing more is due on delivery.
Late, lost or damaged. For anything other than customs payments, CACESA sends you to the seller, who agreed the delivery terms. The parcel was cleared but never arrived? If it was never held and CACESA never contacted you, ask the seller. Tips for a quiet tracker are in tracking not updating.
CACESA contact number and email
As listed on cacesa.com on 12 October 2026. CACESA has no Portuguese site or Portugal office; the same channels apply.
- Email [email protected], for held parcels, documents, payments and abandonment.
- Phone +34 91 746 1860 (head office, Calle Golf 23, Madrid) or +34 91 333 54 50 (Madrid-Barajas air cargo office). CACESA gives no hours and no line for recipients.
- Complaints about CACESA's own service: the complaints form, with the shipment reference and the reason.
- Where the parcel is and when it comes: the seller or the delivery company.
Tracking CACESA parcels with Peek
No number shape is CACESA's, so Peek never names CACESA from a number. Add the number and pick CACESA with "Change", or paste a cacesa.com tracking link (/en/tracking or /es/seguimiento with busqueda=), which names CACESA for any number. A CNESP or CNPRT number names Ecoscooting at once.
Peek shows CACESA's English wordings as written, with the history in Madrid time. A delivered line shows as delivered. Start Custom clearance Process shows as a customs step and the green-channel release as moving on, but Peek shows no duty amount and can't pay it. CACESA gives no places, so there's nothing to pin on the map, and no expected delivery, weight, sender or recipient.
CACESA doesn't name the delivery company, and the parcel goes on under the same number. Peek can follow it only when that number is clearly another carrier's: Ecoscooting for CNESP and CNPRT, Correos for a postal number ending ES, CTT for one ending PT, or CTT Express for its own numbers. CNES and LP numbers aren't followed. Peek checks every 10 minutes and can notify you when the status changes.
Questions about CACESA tracking
What is CACESA Postal?
CACESA, also called Cacesa Postal or CACESA Logistics, is the Madrid customs agent that clears online orders from China into Spain and Portugal. Iberia founded it in 1987, and Portugal's CTT bought it in 2025.
Who delivers a CACESA parcel?
The transport company your seller chose, not CACESA. Its name is in the shop's email or order page; CACESA doesn't list it.
Does CACESA handle AliExpress customs?
CACESA's pages name no shop. It says it gets parcels from companies that group orders in China and clears them for the buyers, with no direct contact with the website they ordered from.
How long does a CACESA parcel take after customs?
For a held parcel, CACESA hands it on 3 to 4 days after release, plus the days delivery takes to your postcode. CACESA gives no time for parcels that aren't held.
