Dachser tracking in Spain and Portugal: link and statuses

7 min read

Peek is an independent tracker, not Dachser. It shows what Dachser’s own tracking publishes.

Dachser is a German logistics group whose Spanish and Portuguese companies carry freight and pallets, mostly between businesses, and deliver bulky orders to homes for shops that book its targo on-site service. To track a delivery in Spain or Portugal, open the tracking link in the email or message you received about the delivery: it leads to Dachser's Customer Iberia page. Pasted whole in the box above, it works too.

Dachser publishes no format for its numbers. Its Customer Iberia page shows a shipment number, "N.º Expedición", and a "N.º Único" ("Unique Number" in English), the number that appears in the tracking link. Dachser's pages say a tracking link can be made for each shipment and shared with the customer; they don't say how it reaches you. No message? Ask the shop, and see how to find your tracking number.

The link is what counts. It looks like this (number and key invented):

https://customeriberia.dachser.com/customerarea/utilidades/seguimiento-publico/detalle?numeroUnico=00000000000&hash=EXAMPLE123

Besides the number, it carries an access key: hash=, or clave= with an eight-digit fecha=. Without the key the page shows nothing. Copy the whole link exactly as it is.

Typed on its own, a Dachser number looks like many other carriers' numbers (digits invented):

NumberWhat a tracker makes of it
123456789010 digits: DHL, Mondial Relay, TIPSA and others.
1234567890111 digits: GLS and others.
12345678901212 digits: FedEx, MRW, BRT and others.
123456789012313 digits: La Poste, DPD France and others.
1234567890123414 digits: SEUR, DPD and others.

If your message names Dachser, trust that over the length of the number.

Dachser tracking status meanings

The Customer Iberia page has its labels in Spanish, Portuguese, English and French, but the text of each event comes from Dachser's system for that shipment. Its history table is called "Delivery Exceptions Historical" in English ("Historial de Incidencias" in Spanish), yet it lists every event, not only problems.

The "Track & Trace" button on dachser.es and dachser.pt opens a different tool, the group's shipmentpointer. Dachser's help explains its statuses in these English words; your link's page may word its events differently:

Dachser's wordsWhat it means for you
The shipment has no status yet.Label created: Dachser has the details, not yet the goods.
The shipment is in handling. It's at a Dachser depot being sorted and transferred.
The shipment is in main carriage. It's on the long-distance leg between depots.
The shipment is under delivery in short distance traffic. It's out with the local delivery vehicle.
The shipment is not yet in delivery or could not be successfully delivered. It's held back, or a delivery failed.
The shipment has been delivered.Delivered.
The shipment has been booked out (e.g., cancellation).Cancelled.

The confusing ones:

  • "In handling" means a Dachser depot, not another company.
  • "Main carriage" is the trunk haul between the sending and the delivering depot.
  • "Not yet in delivery or could not be successfully delivered" covers several cases. Dachser's Spanish help gives three examples: the recipient asked to be told before delivery, the goods were refused, or the address was wrong. Check that the shop has your correct phone number and address.
  • "Booked out" means cancelled, not booked in.

Dachser delivery: appointments and missed deliveries

Appointments. Dachser's Spanish terms say targo on-site deliveries have no set delivery time and are usually arranged by phone with the recipient, so expect a call. Dachser describes targo on-site as delivery by appointment, at the kerb, in the morning or the afternoon. With targo on-site plus, the goods are carried to where you'll use them, and in some countries evening or Saturday delivery is possible. With targo on-site fix, you agree a delivery date with the shop when you order.

Choosing a date. Some shipments' pages may offer an "Arrange delivery date." button, with a "Delivery date" and a "Time range" to pick and a confirmation to accept. If you don't see it, wait for Dachser's call or ask the shop.

Days and times. Dachser has no duty to deliver on Sundays or public holidays. Saturday delivery is only possible with the targospeed 10 and targofix 10 services, arranged with the Dachser branch. Its delivery times are indicative only: they count from the working day after collection, without weekends and holidays.

No pickup points or lockers. Dachser's Spanish and Portuguese pages mention none for recipients, nor a notice card, a number of attempts or a holding time.

Missed delivery. In Dachser's Spanish and Portuguese terms, a delivery that fails because nobody was there, the address was wrong or incomplete, or the goods were refused is the sender's responsibility, and the sender pays the costs. A second delivery is a paid extra for the sender. So if you missed it, tell the shop quickly.

Dachser delivery late, damaged or lost

You bought from the shop, and the shop or sender holds the contract with Dachser, so ask them first about delays, losses and refunds.

No update. Check for a missed call from Dachser, then see tracking not updating.

Damage. Dachser's terms want loss or damage described in writing when the goods are handed over, so look before the driver leaves and note any damage on the delivery papers. These deadlines are set in the contract between Dachser and its customer, in both Spain and Portugal:

  • Hidden damage: within 7 calendar days of delivery for domestic transport; for international transport, 7 days without Sundays and holidays.
  • Delay: written reservations within 21 days from the day after delivery (domestic).

Keep the goods in their original packaging for Dachser to see, and tell the shop the same day.

Delivered but not there. Ask the shop to check the proof of delivery, and see delivered but not received.

Dachser contact number and customer service

Dachser lists no customer line for recipients. As shown on its Spanish and Portuguese pages on 12 October 2026:

  • Spain: DACHSER Spain, S.A., Regional Head Office Madrid, Coslada: +34 916 60 65 78, [email protected]. No hours or call cost are given.
  • Portugal: DACHSER Portugal, Vila do Conde: +351 221 210 500 (a national landline call), the same email address. No hours are given.
  • Forms and branches: dachser.es and dachser.pt each have a contact form, and dachser.es has a branch finder.
  • Complaints in Portugal: dachser.pt links the official complaints book, the Livro de Reclamações.
  • Germany: DACHSER SE, Kempten: +49 831 5916 0, [email protected].

Tracking a Dachser delivery with Peek

Peek can't tell a Dachser number from its digits or look one up without the key, so paste the complete link from your message: Peek recognises it as Dachser's and keeps it. If you typed the number, press "Change", pick Dachser and paste the link in the "Complete tracking link" field. A link with another address, a missing key, an unknown parameter or a different number is refused with "Use the complete tracking link from your shipping email."

It reads the Customer Iberia page only, so it covers Dachser deliveries in Spain and Portugal. It shows the status, the history and the expected delivery day until delivery. Each step appears in Peek's own words, such as Shipment information received, Shipment collected, Shipment arrived at a Dachser facility, Out for delivery, Delivery appointment updated or Delivered; Dachser's own text isn't kept. Times keep their time zone, else they're read as Madrid time. Dachser gives no places, so there's little to pin on the map. The sender, your name, address, contact details and signature are left out.

Peek checks every 10 minutes, every 2 once the delivery is out, and can notify you of every scan, important steps or delivery day only. An unknown shipment or a broken link may show as not found or as a failed check.

Questions about Dachser tracking

Where is Dachser based?

In Kempten, Germany: DACHSER SE is a family-owned group founded by Thomas Dachser in 1930. DACHSER Spain's regional head office is in Coslada, Madrid, and DACHSER Portugal is in Vila do Conde.

Does Dachser deliver to homes?

Yes, when the shop books it: targo on-site delivers to private customers by appointment, at the kerb, in the morning or afternoon. Delivery to where you'll use the goods is targo on-site plus, which the shop chooses.

Can I change a Dachser delivery date?

Sometimes. If the Customer Iberia page shows the "Arrange delivery date." button, pick a day and a time range there; otherwise answer Dachser's call or ask the shop.
