Sameday tracking: AWB, easybox and statuses explained

Sameday AWB: your tracking number

Sameday calls the tracking number the AWB: 5 to 50 letters and digits, in the SAMEDAY App, Sameday's email or SMS, and usually the shop's shipping email. These examples are invented:

The SAMEDAY App lists every AWB linked to the phone number you registered with; orders placed with another number don't appear. Some 17-character AWBs look like Colis Privé numbers, and some 16-character ones like Royal Mail's, so check which carrier the shop's email names.

What Sameday's tracking statuses mean

Sameday's trackers open in Romanian, Hungarian or Bulgarian, with a switch to English. The headline is a short title such as The parcel is in transit; each history line is a sentence. The English sentences, in order:

"The courier will deliver the parcel soon" also appears when the courier is heading to an easybox, not your door. The pickup PIN or QR code is never on the tracking page, only in the app, email or SMS. A redirection line can appear before Sameday has the parcel. And after a return line, "successfully delivered" means the parcel reached the sender.

Easybox, SAMEDAY points and missed deliveries

Door delivery in Romania. Sameday's 2025 commercial offer includes two free attempts on different days. After a failed delivery, Sameday notifies you by email, WhatsApp, SMS or the app, and its terms say it keeps the parcel 5 working days from that notice. While the parcel is out with the courier, the SAMEDAY App lets you leave it with a neighbour, choose another address, send it to an easybox if it fits, postpone it (up to 5 working days in Bucharest, 2 elsewhere) or cancel.

Door delivery in Bulgaria. The delivery-day SMS gives the courier's number, and the courier calls first. Call them to change the time that day, or use the email's link for the next business day.

easybox. Sameday counts more than 4,700 easyboxes in Romania and nearly 1,000 in Bulgaria. In Bulgaria the PIN comes only in the SAMEDAY App or the email sent when the parcel is loaded, never by SMS. Storage times are in the questions below; in the app you can extend storage, for a fee, by up to 7 days. When time runs out, the reminder email has a link valid for 12 hours to collect the parcel from a local agency; otherwise it goes back to the sender. PIN refused? Check you're at the easybox named in the email and haven't mixed up 0 and O or 1 and I.

SAMEDAY points (partner shops, petrol stations and other businesses) keep a parcel 36 working hours in Romania and 48 in Bulgaria.

Hungary. Sameday's Hungarian site announces that it stopped operating there from 23 July 2026, while still delivering parcels registered up to that day.

Sameday parcel delayed, lost or damaged

Sameday's Romanian terms promise domestic delivery within 5 working days of collection, 12 for international items. For Shein or Temu orders, its FAQ warns the sender may take 10 to 15 days to hand the parcel over, so the first status stays put; see tracking a parcel from China or tracking that isn't updating.

To cancel or return an order, Sameday points you to the shop. For a delay, damage or missing item, use the form on sameday.ro/contact with your AWB.

In Romania the sender or recipient can claim in writing within 6 calendar months of posting, by registered post, at Sameday's office or through that form. Sameday has 3 months to resolve it, and compensation goes to the sender unless they give it up to you. If the answer doesn't satisfy you or none comes within 3 months, complain to ANCOM, the regulator, within a year of posting. In Bulgaria, send a written claim within 6 months of Sameday accepting the parcel, to [email protected], by post or in person.

Sameday contact number and customer service

Sameday's channels:

• Romania: 021 637 06 60, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 13:00 and 13:30 to 17:00. SAMY, the virtual assistant on sameday.ro, answers around the clock, including easybox PIN problems.
• Bulgaria: 0700 16 226, Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00, charged at your plan's rate for 0700 numbers, plus a contact form.
• Hungary, where Sameday no longer operates: a contact form only. Sameday's banner sends eMAG customers to eMAG.

Tracking a Sameday parcel with Peek

Peek recognises Sameday's AWB shape and asks Sameday's Romanian and Bulgarian networks, and its former Hungarian one, whether they know it: you'll see "Sameday has this parcel." or "Not found at Sameday yet". Some 16- and 17-character AWBs are also asked of Royal Mail or Colis Privé. A parcel number isn't offered to Sameday: pick "Sameday" with "Change", and Sameday answers with the AWB, which becomes the parcel's number. Links from sameday.ro, .hu or .bg aren't read, so paste the AWB.

Peek shows the status, the history with each scan's county and country on a map, and the delivery time, in Sameday's English wordings. There's no expected delivery day and no easybox or point name. Peek checks every 10 minutes, every 2 minutes once the parcel is out for delivery, and can notify you of every scan, important steps or on delivery day only. It can't extend easybox storage or send you a PIN.

Questions about Sameday tracking

How long does a parcel stay in an easybox?

In Romania, 36 hours if loaded Sunday to Thursday, 72 on Friday and 48 on Saturday. Bulgaria's easybox FAQ says 48 hours Monday to Thursday and 72 Friday to Sunday, though other Bulgarian pages differ. The app shows the time left.

Is easybox Sameday?

Yes. easybox is Sameday's own parcel-locker network, and SAMEDAY points are its partner pickup points in shops, petrol stations and other businesses.

Can you track a Sameday parcel if you lost the AWB?

Yes, if the order used your phone number: the SAMEDAY App lists its AWBs. Otherwise see how to find a tracking number.

Does Sameday have a customer service email?

In Bulgaria, written claims go to [email protected]. In Romania, Sameday uses the contact form on sameday.ro and SAMY instead.
