"LSO tracking: airbill numbers, statuses and delivery help"

7 min read

Peek is an independent tracker, not LSO. It shows what LSO’s own tracking publishes.

LSO, short for Lone Star Overnight, is a regional parcel carrier based in Texas that delivers across Texas and Oklahoma and in major metropolitan areas of Louisiana, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri. To track a parcel, enter its number on LSO's tracking page, or paste it in the box above. LSO calls that number the airbill number, and the shop or sender that booked LSO has it.

LSO tracking number: what it looks like and where to find it

LSO's tracker asks for the "Airbill No", and each label gets its own unique number. LSO doesn't say where recipients receive it: look in the shop's shipping message or on your order page, and if it isn't there, ask the sender. How to find your tracking number lists more places to look.

LSO publishes no format. The LSO airbill numbers seen so far are 8 characters: ZY0 followed by five letters or digits.

Number (invented)What it is
ZY012345An LSO airbill number: ZY, the digit zero, then five characters.
ZY0ABCDEAlso LSO: the last five can be letters.
ZYO12345A typo: the letter O instead of the digit zero. This is no longer an LSO shape.

The third character is the digit zero. Typed as the letter O, the number looks like nothing LSO uses, and Peek may suggest GLS instead. Spaces, hyphens and lower case don't matter when you paste it into Peek. LSO's own tracker takes up to 10 numbers at once, one per line.

LSO tracking statuses explained

LSO's site is in English only. Its tracker shows a progress bar with five steps, and under it the airbill number, a tracking status line, the delivery date, who signed and the delivery address. The steps, in the order a parcel meets them:

LSO's stepWhat it means for you
Label createdThe shipper has made a label. LSO may not have the parcel yet.
Picked UpLSO has collected the parcel from the sender.
Inbound scan at destinationScanned at the LSO facility that serves your area.
Out for DeliveryOn a delivery vehicle today.
DeliveredDelivered. The tracker can show who signed for it.

Label created confuses people most. It means the sender has paperwork ready, not that the parcel is moving. If it stays there for days, the shop probably hasn't handed it to LSO yet, so ask the shop. Inbound scan at destination sounds final, but it only means the parcel has reached the facility near you; delivery usually follows.

The free-text status line can say more than the five steps. LSO publishes no list of those wordings, so read it as written and contact LSO if it isn't clear.

LSO delivery times, signatures and missed deliveries

Delivery days. LSO picks up and delivers Monday to Friday, with Saturday delivery only in limited areas and never for Ground. It doesn't deliver on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day or New Year's Day, nor the Saturday after Thanksgiving. A delivery due on a holiday moves to the next business day.

How long it takes. It depends on the service the sender paid for. LSO Ground takes 1 to 3 business days. Its next-day services arrive by 8:30 am (Early Overnight), by 10:30 am (Priority Next Day; noon or end of day in some rural areas) or by 3:00 pm (Economy Next Day). There is also a 2nd Day service. All service guarantees are waived in peak season, which LSO puts between mid-October and mid-January.

Signatures. LSO generally doesn't ask for a signature at homes, on Early Overnight deliveries or when the sender marked a signature release on the airbill. Businesses sign. LSO may hand the parcel to someone other than the named person, and in buildings with central receiving (universities, hospitals, hotels, apartment complexes) it delivers to that desk. It can't deliver to P.O. boxes.

Missed delivery. When a signature is needed, LSO makes up to three attempts. After the third it leaves a notice of attempted delivery, takes the parcel to its nearest facility and arranges a return. If the address is wrong or incomplete, LSO may try to reach the sender for a correction or send the parcel back.

Pickup points. LSO has no pickup points or lockers for recipients. A sender can authorise delivery to a Pick Up Drop Off (PUDO) location, and LSO's locator lists its service centres and drop boxes by ZIP code, but those are for shipping. LSO offers no self-service way to reschedule or redirect: use the contact form below.

LSO package not delivered, delayed or damaged

Delayed. LSO's tracking page says that if your parcel is more than 4 days late, an LSO agent can text you an update during business hours: use "Text with a live agent!" on that page. Remember the peak-season waiver: from mid-October to mid-January LSO waives all its service guarantees. For stalled tracking in general, see tracking not updating.

Outside LSO's area. LSO works with other carriers for the rest of the country. If one of them delivered your parcel, LSO says claims and questions go to that carrier.

Damaged. A claim goes in writing through LSO's online claim form within 15 days after delivery. For damage you find after opening, the recipient or the shipper must tell LSO in writing within those 15 days, and keep the box and packing for inspection.

Late, lost or delivered to the wrong place. Claims are due within 30 days of the delivery, or of the expected delivery date if it never came. LSO's default liability is $100 unless the sender declared and paid for more.

Who acts. Refunds and the money-back guarantee go to the account that paid for shipping, so for an online order, contact the shop: it holds the contract with LSO. If tracking says delivered and you have nothing, read delivered but not received. Proof-of-delivery letters are on LSO's site for a small fee, billed to the shipper's account.

LSO customer service number and contact

As listed on lso.com on 15 October 2026:

  • Phone: (888) 688-6909, in the footer of every page. LSO publishes no opening hours.
  • Email: [email protected].
  • Recipient form: on the contact page, choose the recipient form. LSO says it gets back to you within 24 hours.
  • Text with an agent: for parcels more than 4 days late, from the tracking page, during regular business hours.

Have the airbill number ready. LSO's holidays page gives another number, 866.215.8009, but that one is for supplies and pickups.

Tracking LSO parcels with Peek

Peek names LSO straight away for a number of the ZY0 shape. A tracking link from lso.com/tracking (with airbillnos=) or app.lso.com/tracking (with barcodes=) works too. No account, postcode or phone number needed.

Peek can't read LSO's own tracking. It follows LSO parcels through tracking services instead and shows the status and history those services hold, in their wording. That history is often hours behind LSO's page, and for some parcels there's nothing yet. Peek shows no expected delivery, proof of delivery or pickup point for LSO.

Peek checks every 10 minutes, including on delivery day, and can notify you when the status changes. For the signature, a claim or a delivery problem, go to LSO or the shop.

Questions about LSO tracking

Who delivers LSO packages?

LSO itself, inside its area: Texas, Oklahoma and major metropolitan areas of Louisiana, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri. Outside it, LSO works with partner carriers, and questions about those deliveries go to that carrier.

Does LSO deliver on Saturdays?

Only in limited areas, and never for LSO Ground. Its normal delivery days are Monday to Friday.

What is the LSO customer service phone number?

(888) 688-6909, as listed on lso.com. You can also email [email protected] or use the recipient form on the contact page.

Does LSO need a signature?

Usually not for home deliveries, unless the sender asked for one. Businesses sign, and a parcel needing a signature gets up to three attempts before it goes back.
