MediaMarkt order tracking: carriers, pickup and problems

11 min read

MediaMarkt sells online only in Europe, through a separate shop for each country. Your account shows the order status. In Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium the shipping email brings the tracking link, and in Spain it sends you to the carrier's website. Who delivers depends on the country and the item: in Germany DHL, Hermes or DPD bring parcels and freight companies bring large appliances on an agreed date, while in Spain it's Paack, SEUR, Correos or TIPSA.

Where does MediaMarkt sell online?

According to its parent company Ceconomy, MediaMarkt has stores in 11 countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, Hungary, Türkiye and Italy, where the shop says "In Italia siamo MediaWorld" (in Italy we are MediaWorld) and sells on mediaworld.it. Each has its own site, such as mediamarkt.de, and in Germany the group also runs Saturn (saturn.de).

There is no MediaMarkt in the UK, Ireland, the US, Canada, Australia or France. In Portugal, MediaMarkt was rebranded Darty in October 2025, and mediamarkt.pt now leads to darty.pt. The shops deliver at home: Germany and Austria say plainly they don't ship abroad, and the Swiss shop covers Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The Luxembourg shop also delivers products marked "Livrable en France" (deliverable to France).

The rest of this guide uses Germany and Spain as worked examples, with the shop's labels and a translation.

Which carrier delivers my MediaMarkt order?

It depends on the country, the size of the item and who sells it. What each shop names:

CountryParcelsLarge itemsFast option
Germany (mediamarkt.de, saturn.de)DHL, Hermes or DPDFreight: Hermes, Nikos, ZAC or Power Service"Sofort-Lieferung" (instant delivery) with Uber
Spain (mediamarkt.es)Paack, SEUR, Correos or TIPSA"Productos voluminosos" (bulky items)Glovo, or same day in parts of Madrid
Austria (mediamarkt.at)Austrian Post or GLS AustriaMediaMarkt Powerservice"Sofort-Lieferung" with Wolt
Switzerland (mediamarkt.ch)Swiss PostA freight carrier over 30 kgNone named
Belgium (mediamarkt.be)bpost or PostNLDelivered by appointmentSunday delivery in six cities

In Germany, freight means appliances from 31.5 kg, TVs from 42 inches and e-bikes. When Hermes brings one, it's the Hermes Einrichtungs-Service: a button on the tracking page leads to its site. In Spain, "voluminosos" are items over 31 kg or with special dimensions, such as TVs over 55 inches and washing machines.

Both shops also host other sellers. In Germany the product page says "Verkauf und Versand durch …" (sold and shipped by …): you pay MediaMarkt, but the seller ships the item and is your first contact about delivery, invoice, withdrawal or damage. Spain calls these "envíos originados por terceros" (shipments from third parties), with the seller's own costs and conditions.

Where is my MediaMarkt tracking number?

Germany. Three places:

  • "Meine Käufe" (My purchases). If you have an account on mediamarkt.de or saturn.de, it's under "Mein Profil" (My profile). Marketplace orders show there too.
  • The "Versandbestätigung" (shipping confirmation). It holds the tracking link for parcels and for freight with Hermes, Nikos, ZAC or Power Service. With Uber's instant delivery you also get a text with a link to follow the driver live.
  • As a guest. Use the guest order page, or ask the chatbot at any hour with your order number, email and billing postcode.

A letter or small packet sent as a DHL "Warensendung" can't be tracked. If it hasn't arrived after nine days, MediaMarkt asks you to get in touch.

Spain. When the order leaves the warehouse, MediaMarkt emails you so you can follow it "directamente en la web del transportista" (directly on the carrier's website), where details can take up to 24 hours to appear. The status is also in "Mi cuenta" (My account), or "Mis Pedidos" (My orders) for guests.

In Austria, Switzerland and Belgium the link also comes in the shipping confirmation. In Switzerland it can come by text, but not for freight or letter post.

Number shapes for the carriers MediaMarkt names, with made-up digits:

CarrierThe number looks like
DHLJJD and more characters, 12 digits, or 20 digits starting 0034043
HermesH and 16 to 19 digits, like H1234567890123456, or 14 digits
DPD14 digits, sometimes with one character after
CorreosPR, 15 digits and C, or two letters, 9 digits and ES
PaackPK and 18 digits
SEUR14 or 21 digits, among other shapes
TIPSA10 digits, or 22 digits whose first and seventh digits are 0

Other shops: find your tracking number. Not sure what you've got? Type it here:

Type or paste a number, a link or the whole shipping message: Peek names the carrier from the number’s shape.

Why is my MediaMarkt order late, or why isn't tracking moving?

The delivery time shows on the product page before you order. For items in stock, MediaMarkt gives these times:

CountryDelivery time
GermanyUsually 1 to 2 working days, delivered Monday to Friday
SpainParcels "+48h", and the terms say usually 1 to 3 working days; pickup points 24 to 48 hours on the mainland
AustriaOrdered by 5 pm on a working day, next working day, not guaranteed
SwitzerlandOrdered Monday to Friday before 5 pm, usually the next working day

When nothing moves, it's usually one of these:

  • Several items. In Germany the whole order takes the longest item's delivery time, unless you ask for separate parcels, each charged shipping.
  • Only announced. Hermes's first status is Die Sendung wurde Hermes elektronisch angekündigt. (the shipment was announced to Hermes electronically): the sender booked it, nothing more. If it doesn't change for 2 to 3 days, Hermes says to ask the sender. Hermes doesn't log every step either.
  • Large appliances. Hermes texts you the date 1 to 2 working days after the shipping confirmation. If it hasn't been in touch within 3 working days, contact MediaMarkt. Other freight companies email a link to book a date within 6 weeks.
  • Busy days. In Spain, Black Friday, Christmas and "Día sin IVA" (VAT-free day) can stretch delivery, and weekends or holidays can add a day.
  • A marketplace seller. They ship it themselves, so delivery questions go to them.

In Austria and Switzerland, contact customer service once the promised date has passed without a delay notice, which in Switzerland may sit in your spam folder. When waiting is still normal: tracking not updating.

Delivery options and costs

Germany. The same prices apply on mediamarkt.de and saturn.de:

Parcel, order under €69€4.99

Free shipping from €69 covers only products MediaMarkt sells itself, not freight or age-checked items. Parcels can go to a DHL Packstation (parcel locker) if you're registered at dhl.de, except age-checked items, bulky goods and invoice payment. With Click & Collect, items marked "Bereit zur Marktabholung" (ready for store pickup) can be ready 30 minutes after you order; go once the pickup email arrives. Collect within 6 calendar days with ID and the invoice or the app's pickup slip, or MediaMarkt cancels and refunds. More: parcel lockers.

Spain. On the mainland:

OptionCost
"Recogida en tienda" (store pickup)Free
Parcel, order over €49Free
Parcel, smaller orderFrom €2.99
Bulky itemUp to €8.99
"Entrega agendada" (booked slot), bulky item€29
Same day in parts of Madrid€2.99 extra, €20 for bulky items

Pickup points take parcels only, free over €49. In stores, an order is ready in 30 minutes if the item is in stock, and an email tells you. Some stores have a Stop&Go point to collect from your car, or Click&Go lockers that open with a code sent by text. Bring your DNI or NIE. The store keeps your order 5 calendar days if you pay there, 7 if you paid online.

MediaMarkt parcel not arrived or marked delivered: what to do

Look first, then report. In order:

  1. Check the trackingOpen the link from the shipping email or your account. In Germany, MediaMarkt says the tracking shows who took the parcel.
  2. Look around and askAsk neighbours, family and others in your building, and check the letterbox. In Germany a notice card means it usually waits seven days at a locker, post office or parcel shop.
  3. Contact MediaMarktIn Germany use the contact form, [email protected] or the chatbot. If it says "zugestellt" (delivered) but is missing, fill in the sworn statement MediaMarkt provides. In Spain use the contact form, WhatsApp or 900 205 000.
  4. The carrier's searchIn Germany, DHL takes a search request once the status hasn't changed for more than 5 working days, but asks recipients of online orders to talk to the sender first. Hermes lets you start a search through its contact form after 5 working days at the earliest.
  5. Refund or new itemIn Germany the risk stays with the seller until you have the goods (§ 475 BGB). In Belgium MediaMarkt says it refunds you or sends a new item.

For a marketplace item, contact the seller first, in Germany through "Händler kontaktieren" (contact seller) in "Meine Käufe". If you allowed the parcel to be left somewhere, MediaMarkt Germany says there's no claim if it's lost. In Spain, refuse a damaged box, note why on the delivery slip and report any problem within 48 hours.

More help: delivered but not received, lost parcel and damaged parcel.

Returning a MediaMarkt order

In Germany you have 30 days from receipt, a voluntary right on top of the 14-day legal one. Print a free return label from your account, or as a guest with your email and order number, or bring the item to any MediaMarkt or Saturn in Germany. For freight items, MediaMarkt arranges a pickup.

In Spain you have up to 60 days, well beyond the 14 days EU law requires. Return it in any store with the invoice and your DNI or NIE, or request a pickup online, in which case the return cost comes off your refund. Marketplace items follow the seller's conditions, with 30 days in Spain. Where the return's tracking number is: returns tracking.

Can I track a MediaMarkt parcel in Peek?

Yes, with the carrier's tracking number. Copy it from the tracking page and paste it into Peek. Peek knows these by their shape alone:

  • Hermes: H and 16 to 19 digits
  • DHL: JJD and 18 digits
  • Correos: PR, 15 digits and C
  • Paack: PK and 18 digits
  • Austrian Post: two letters, 9 digits and AT
  • Swiss Post: 18 digits starting 98 or 99

When several carriers share a shape, such as 14 digits for Hermes, DPD and SEUR, Peek asks the likely carriers and shows the one that knows the number. If more than one does, Peek lets you choose. If it shows the wrong one, tap "Change" and pick the carrier from your shipping email.

Peek never recognises GLS Austria or Hermes Einrichtungs-Service numbers on its own: pick the carrier with "Change". For Nikos, ZAC, Power Service, Uber, Wolt and Glovo, which Peek doesn't cover, use the link from the email or text.

Peek shows what the carrier publishes. Refunds, returns and appointments stay in your MediaMarkt account.
