Temu order tracking: carriers, statuses and late parcels

9 min read

Open Your orders in the Temu app or on temu.com and tap Track next to the order: Temu shows the carrier, the tracking number, the delivery time and the latest status. Allow 1–3 days of processing before a number appears, and expect one number per package if the order ships in several. A local carrier may do the last leg, so the tracking can have gaps, and if the order misses the latest date in your order details, Temu adds a credit to your account.

Which carrier delivers Temu parcels in your country?

Temu doesn't publish a list of carriers. Its US, UK, Canadian and Australian shipping pages say only that your orders "may be handed over to local carriers for the final leg of delivery", so "tracking may not be available every step of the way". The Irish page gives the same warning. The tracking page of each package names the carrier that has it.

Who you're likely to see on that last leg, from USPS and Royal Mail to An Post, Canada Post and Australia Post, is in the country table of tracking a parcel from China. Whether you owe anything at the border depends on your country: see customs.

Where is my Temu tracking number?

In your order. In the app or on temu.com, go to Your orders and tap Track next to the order. Temu says you'll see "your shipping carrier, tracking number, delivery time, and latest shipping status" there.

No number yet? The order may still be in processing. Temu asks you to "allow 1-3 business days for warehouse processing", then sends you a message when the order ships. That message gives the delivery time for each package, and the tracking number follows "when it is ready". Each package's delivery time also shows under that package in your order history.

Ordered a lot and some items seem to be missing from the order? Temu splits an order into several shipments "if there were different sellers or shipping methods", so you may be looking at only one part of it. Open Order details to see all the related orders. Each package then has its own delivery time and its own tracking number: follow each one on its own.

Temu's order number is its own reference, not a tracking number: no carrier can look it up. Not sure which one you have? Type it here:

Type or paste a number, a link or the whole shipping message: Peek names the carrier from the number’s shape.

Where other shops hide the number in their emails and accounts: find your tracking number.

What do Temu's order statuses mean?

Temu doesn't publish a full list of its order statuses. Its help pages name a few, and the rest of what you see on the Track page is the carrier's own wording, passed on as the "latest shipping status".

  • "Ready to ship": the package "has already been packed and can no longer be canceled or refunded". If you change your mind now, wait for it and return it: Temu says you usually get one free return per order.
  • Once it ships, Temu sends you a message and gives each package a delivery window. The tracking number can come a little later.
  • "Pending pickup by recipient": the package is waiting for you to collect it, at a pick-up point, post office or locker. Go and get it in time: uncollected parcels explains what happens otherwise. Once a package reaches this status, Temu's late-delivery credit no longer applies, even if you collect it after the latest date.
  • Delivered: Temu warns that "packages may be mistakenly scanned as delivered up to 48 hours before arrival". If you have nothing, see the steps below.

Anything in between, such as departure, arrival or customs scans, comes from the carriers. What their words mean: tracking statuses.

How long does Temu delivery take, and what if it's late?

Temu shows a delivery date on the product page, with "the percentage of orders delivered within that time frame". After you pay, the delivery time appears in Your orders; it covers both processing and transit. Once the order ships, each package has its own delivery time, and Temu says the tracking information has "the most up to date delivery date".

Only the UK and Canadian shipping pages publish a number of days:

CountryStandardExpressClick & Collect
UKFree on almost all orders, 6–13 business days£9.00, 4–7 business daysFree, 6–8 business days
CanadaFree on almost all orders, 6–18 daysCA$26.00 under CA$129, free from CA$129; 4–9 daysNot offered

In the US you choose standard or express, in Ireland standard or Click & Collect, and in Australia standard, express or Click & Collect. Their shipping pages give no number of days: you see the time on the product page and in your order. Some products ship from local warehouses and take a shorter route.

The late-delivery credit. If your order isn't delivered by the latest date of the delivery range in your order details, Temu issues a credit "within approximately 48 hours of that date". It goes to your Temu credit balance, and your order details show the amount. Temu's help pages give $5 for standard shipping in the US, £4 for standard or Click & Collect and £9 for express in the UK, €5 for standard in Ireland, CA$5 for standard or CA$26 for express in Canada, and AU$5 for standard in Australia. If the order came in several packages, they all have to arrive by that date (a reshipped package doesn't count), and one order gets the credit only once.

You don't get it when:

  • every package arrived in time, or went to a post office or locker for you to collect;
  • a package reached "pending pickup by recipient", even if you collect it late;
  • the address was wrong or incomplete, or the courier tried and couldn't reach you;
  • taxes weren't paid in time;
  • you rescheduled the delivery, refused it or moved;
  • the delay came from storms, strikes, a courier's own problems or a change in customs rules.

Temu grants it "at our sole discretion". In the UK, it calls this support a "voluntary commitment beyond your statutory rights".

Tracking that sits still for days, or a number that changes when the local carrier takes over, is normal on this route: tracking a parcel from China explains both, and what changes for products from a local warehouse.

Temu package not received or marked delivered: what to do

Temu's own deadline is the same in all five countries: contact customer service "immediately and within 90 days of the order date", whether the package never came or the tracking says delivered and you don't have it. Its Purchase Protection gives you a full refund if your item "couldn't be delivered, arrived late, or was lost in transit". In the UK, it covers an item that "cannot be delivered or is lost in transit", "in addition to your statutory rights".

  1. Check the trackingOpen Track for each package. A package can show as delivered up to 48 hours before it arrives, so give it two days.
  2. Look around and askCheck the address in Your orders, ask family and neighbours, look by the doors, the garage and the mailbox, and look for a missed-delivery notice in Temu's texts, emails and app messages.
  3. Report it in the appIn Your orders, choose Return/Refund on the item, or contact customer service. Do it within 90 days of the order date.
  4. Temu reviews itTemu looks into the claim and deals with the seller, who stays responsible for the delivery.
  5. Refund or a new parcelTemu refunds you, to your Temu credit or your original payment method, or sends the item again.

While you wait, watch out for fake delivery messages. Temu asks you not to click links "in emails or text messages from unknown sources", and to report "an unknown third party claiming to be a courier, asking for extra shipping charges". More on spotting them: delivery scam texts.

Who is responsible for a parcel that never came, and what evidence to keep: delivered but not received and lost parcels.

Returning a Temu order

Start from Your orders: choose Return/Refund on the item, print the label and send the package within 14 days of asking. The first return of each order is free. In the UK, you drop it off at Evri, Royal Mail or InPost, in Ireland at An Post or drop2shop. A return has its own tracking number, separate from your order's. Drop-off points in the US, Canada and Australia, where to find that number and when the refund comes: return tracking.

Can I track a Temu parcel in Peek?

Yes, with the carrier's tracking number from the Track page. Paste it into Peek and it works out the carrier among more than 3,500. A shape several carriers share may need you to press "Change" and pick the carrier Temu's tracking page names.

When the first carrier names the local partner taking over, Peek keeps the first history, follows the partner once its own tracking shows fresh progress, and shows the partner's name and number on the card.

Each package has its own number, so add each one. Temu's order number isn't a tracking number, and Peek can't track it.

Peek shows what the carrier publishes. The late-delivery credit, a claim or a refund stays in your Temu account.
